Imagine this… you are booked for an early morning flight with your two young children for a once in a lifetime holiday to Lapland. You check in at the hotel the evening before with a young trainee (with only 3 weeks of training, as later told). There isn’t any record of children on your booking but that’s fine- they can put up 2 cot beds in your room. You agree, it’s only for a night. You leave your belongings in the room and go to the restaurant for a meal. Whilst eating, a hotel manager approaches you and says that it is against fire regulations to have 2 cot beds in your existing room. You have been moved to a room with adjoining doors. Brilliant, you thank the hotel manager. You move your things to your new room and get the kids to bed early as you need to be up for a 6am flight. At 1.45am you are woken by a loud knock at the door. It is the hotel night manager speaking very aggressively. He informs you that you are at the wrong hotel- your reservation is at the Holiday Inn Express. He accuses you of taking someone else’s room and tells you, you must get out of the room immediately or go downstairs and pay for it. You politely say that the reason you are booked into the wrong hotel is an error on their behalf- having booked you into the hotel under the wrong name/reservation. The hotel manager says that the staff member that booked you in will ‘get in trouble as well’. He speaks so aggressively and loudly to you that he wakes up the family in the room opposite who come to the door of their room. You question what he means by ‘as well’ as this is clearly just an honest mistake on both sides- you have actually reserved and already paid for the room at the other hotel. After politely refusing to pay for the room, the hotel manager says something about sorting it with reservations and strops off downstairs. You are unable to return to sleep after that and one of you gets ready and goes downstairs to speak to the manager. He claims he tried to ring before coming to the door and admits that it happens 20 times a day- people trying to book into the wrong Holiday Inn hotel. Based on this experience alone I would never book into this hotel. Who thinks it is appropriate to behave in this manner and wake you up aggressively at 1.45am?! Especially when you have two young children. I wish we HAD been able to fulfil our original reservation at the Holiday Inn Express. I have no doubt that we would have had a far more pleasant stay.

Perfect place to stay for flying out the next day. Smoking areas outside, as they all are these days, but more than just one. Plus there is a sheltered area just a short 50yard walk towards the airport where you can smoke without getting rained on! They allow you to get deliveroo etc and will call the room when its there. Never had dinner there so can't comment, but menu looks pretty decent. You can hear the planes taking off, but then you're next to an airport... the noise is minimal with the triple glazing. Blackout curtains. My wife and I had a great night's sleep.

Not a great stay at the Holiday Inn. My premium room was a little tried but clean and comfortable. The TV was easy to cast to which was great as that’s often a problem in other hotels. Sadly the dinning experience was poor. My first night I had an ok meal in the restaurant, but after paying I was challenged aggressively in the lobby by a member of staff who accused me of leaving without paying. It was bizarre behaviour, in fairness after I told the reception team they were shocked to and said they would raise it with a manager. The breakfast was very disappointing, despite asking for my table to be cleaned, it was quite grim. The tables were filthy and the cutlery had not been washed. My photos show how bad the tables were, there was simply no one cleaning them properly. Both days I was there the breakfast tables and serving areas were just not clean. I wanted to raise this with reception on check out but there was a large queue, there did not seem to be enough staff for such a busy airport hotel. Not sure I’ll stay here again unfortunately, which is a shame as it’s an ideal location for a short work trip to Glasgow.

Review for Holiday Inn Glasgow Airport by IHG ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ We recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Glasgow Airport by IHG and were very pleased with our experience. The reception, communal areas, restaurant, and bar are all clean, modern, and spacious, with plenty to do — including games, a pool table, and comfortable seating areas with charging points. It’s a great setup for both families and travellers waiting on flights. The staff were pleasant and helpful throughout our stay, creating a welcoming atmosphere from check-in to departure. Our rooms were comfortable and well-maintained, slightly dated in décor but more than adequate. As a large family, we had conjoined rooms, which worked perfectly. We stayed on the airport side, and the noise reduction measures on the windows worked brilliantly, allowing for a peaceful night’s sleep despite being right next to the runway. The breakfast buffet was excellent, offering a wide variety of cooked and continental options. Everything was fresh, well-stocked, and tasty. The “Kids Eat Free” offer was a great bonus for families, and the price per adult was reasonable for an all-you-can-eat meal. Overall, a comfortable and convenient hotel with great facilities, friendly staff, and good value for money. We’d happily stay here again and recommend it to anyone flying from or arriving at Glasgow Airport.

Yea great place to stay so close to the airport what a standard bedroom which was 2 single beds. Which I never looked at properly when I booked. For a standard room it was pretty basic. It was ok for a couple of nights we only had one night.

Great room and excellent service. Much better than the premier inns and travel lodges we are used to. Only slight gripe was we had to have evening meal in our room for personal reasons and it was delivered cold with nothing to keep it warm from kitchen to room which was disappointing. The food though was generous and tasty so still positive. Another plus is walking out the hotel straight into departures across the road so is great for airport access. Good experience all in all and would recommend and will be back.

Perfect for the airport and the city to be fair. Transport is very good from here too. The staff there are very attractive and friendly very easy to get you anything you nd. The food is always lovely here hence I stay anytime I fly. Very busy and much appreciated by myself. The hotel is a wee walk to the airport so handy. Many thanks

The room here was comfortable and the staff were lovely. However, the soundproofing is non-existent. Every time a car drove into the lot, the “thunk thunk” was in full stereo and woke us up several times overnight. The breakfast is varied and of standard quality.

It literally took us about 1 minute to walk across the street into this hotel!! That alone makes that stay worthwhile - but in addition, the rooms were comfortable, clean and quiet. The breakfast was delicious and everyone on staff at the hotel was very kind, helpful and pleasant. Car rental was just a quick walk from the hotel, too. We highly recommend staying here.

We had an over night stay here with a parking deal, at a reasonable price for an early flight. Parked car, kept keys and was taken to our Holiday Inn by mini bus. Easy check in, room was clean and tidy albeit a bit tired. Staff were nice and friendly. Decent nights sleep then just a walk across the road to the airport. One star knocked off simply for the tired room however great value nonetheless.
