   Beautiful garden, 40mins-hour to see it. Very tranquil, friendly gardeners. On ride parking. Combine it with a visit to Newhailes National Trust. About 10 minutes drive away.

   Beautiful gardens. Made better for our visit by the flawless weather. The entrance is slightly hidden and could be made more obvious. We drive straight past it. Parking is in the road outside.

   Beautiful garden maintained by the National Trust for Scotland. Nice for a gentle stroll around. Dog friendly as long as kept on a leash. There were a few areas that were out of bounds to the public due to weather/maintenance but all well sign posted. Larger grassland area on the lowest level. V.small car park at front (3 cars max). Parking is free as is entry if a NTS member.

   It is a nice little garden. The glasshouse was under development when we were there, so we want to go back when it is done ;) The garden itself has two parts. Close to the building the proper garden and farther away a forest area wich is I guess under development. It will take a couple of years for the trees planted recently to grow, but still the garden worth a visit or two. :)

   We had a lovely leisurely stroll here even although it was Autumn. There were plenty plants, shrubs and tree to see. It had its on micro environment and the growth captured it all. Some still in flower, some bearing fruit, and some with stunning colours including the change if colour because of the season. The grounds are bigger than you might think.

   What a beautiful garden hidden away behind Inveresk Lodge. Much bigger than it first appears, extending down to a woodland walk at the bottom where we saw a family of deer! Some steep paths and steps in places.

   Well done to the gardeners as this is a well maintained and well laid out interesting garden. Lots of seating for picnics or just taking time out to listen to the birds.

   Pleasant garden owned by several wealthy families before being handed over to the NTS. The wildlife pond, conservatory and herbaceous borders are all lovely, even in this time of the year. It's a good stop especially if you're visiting Musselburgh anyway.
