Stunning location. Incredibly good cafe. Lovely staff. You get to feed most of the animals and there’s a wee petting zoo area. Absolutely loved it. Best animal place in Scotland.
We visited yesterday as a family of four — with our 8-year-old and 5-year-old — and had the most amazing day. The park itself is absolutely beautiful; the scenery alone is worth the entrance fee, with stunning views of the nearby mountains that take your breath away. From the moment we arrived, it was clear how much care and attention goes into every detail. The toilets were spotless and smelled fresh, and every single member of staff we met was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely happy to help. At first glance, the park doesn’t look that big, but don’t be fooled — it’s huge! There’s so much to see and do, and the variety of animals on display is incredible. It’s easily the best animal park and petting zoo we’ve ever visited. The café was another highlight — plenty of delicious, high-quality food and drinks to choose from, all enjoyed with amazing views across the valley. The staff even surprised our kids with two free cupcakes, which absolutely made their day! All in all, it was a brilliant experience from start to finish. We can’t recommend this place highly enough — a perfect day out for families!
We had an amazing day out at the park! I went with my partner and my elderly grandparents and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. The animals are all great and the staff are so attentive. From the lady in the ticket office/gift shop to Gordon the tractor driver to the owner, they were all absolutely brilliant. Gordon was really lovely, funny and knowledgeable about the park and all of the animals and he definitely made our trip to the park very special thank you!
Great day for the Family with interactive animal Experiences. Good Coffee, food and service at the cafe. Location is spectacular. I was sitting at the cafe over looking the rolling hills enjoying a latte as my children played at the many kids play parks (indoor and outside) below me!
This is a family favourite. Always very clean with plenty to do. The animals are so well cared for and all look very healthy and are very friendly. The food in the cafe is fantastic, the burgers are immense and very good value for money. The kids hotdog comes with chips and a decently sized salad - very impressive. Thank you to the whole team for the excellent service.
A truly wonderful time. I booked the zookeeper experience for my wife and it was a really hands on activity, she got to interact with different animals and learnt allot about them. The location is wonderful it truly feels like a wildlife reserve with ample space for most of the animals. I loved that this was the case so the animals could actually move about and not feel so caged up. All the staff were extremely nice and friendly. Lots of things being improved but I will definitely visit again. Keep up the great work!
What a lovely site to visit even on a damp day. Wide range of animals, our favourites were the Scottish wild cats. Our toddler really enjoyed the play barn and then there was the great cafe on-site home made food and great cakes. All excellent value for money
Today we visited Auchingarrich Wildlife Park and I am oh so glad we did! It was a beautiful autumn day and as an older lady with a stick Rob (who we met as he was carrying out his daily schedule at the park) gave us lots of directions and information about the animals. He asked the park Manager Kevin Gordon Campbell to take us in his buggy to the top of the hill to see the view which was so breathtaking and awe inspiring on this very clear day. On the way to the top of the hill Kevin stopped and showed us the cutest otters who came up to the fence, fallow deer, and sheep. After that we had the tastiest soup and butchers burger lunch, plus very special cake at their cafe. As my son is especially interested in sheep he was allowed to meet some gorgeous cuddly Swiss sheep. We also saw Keven work with his 3 sheepdogs and the sheep. Oh and a belated visit to the Halloween display in the forest. So thank you very much to all who made our day including, Marianne, Megan, Rob, Kevin and Alexa. My son is autistic and they were all so understanding and inclusive it made his visit so memorable. Thank you.
Great day out. Cafe was brilliant too, we had the BBQ which was really nice. Staff all so friendly. Great shop on site too selling souvenirs. Got really close to the animals, my girls loved the little petting zoo section with Guinea pigs etc. The play area is massive and the kids loved this too. There is even a mini golf section which is free once you’ve paid to get in.
