   Class service from Heather, and her lovely assistant Maurine. We had gone to the Hamilton Palace Grounds branch to try mattresses and fell in love with an Eve hybrid mattress, but when we wanted to buy it the salesman (Cameron) told us it was out of stock, and it wouldn't be in until the 5th. We were desperate, and asked him to check other branches as we couldn't wait for it, to which Cameron immediately said no they're not in stock anywhere and that his branch would be the first to get them back in, which as someone who works in sales myself knew was absolute crap. Poor show from the Hamilton Palace Branch, but one phone call to Heather at the Uddingston branch and what a surprise it was in stock, and Heather had everything set up and organised for us in a matter of 15 minutes. Went in and we'd just missed Heather, but her lovely coworker Maurine got us all sorted and we were in and out the shop in minutes with our new mattress. 10 out of 10 for the Uddingston branch, needless to say the Hamilton branch's review won't be as good.

   The whole process was fantastic. From sales, through to delivery. Communication was first class. Delivery men were lovely. Really easy to plan. We’ve had a lot of furniture delivered to our new house and Bensons was by far the best experience of them all. We would recommend to all our friends and family.

   We were so excited to visit such a big store and try out lots of different beds but it was honestly one of the worst experiences. We literally walked through the front door and someone was right up to us, asking what exactly we were looking for. We said we just wanted to look around but they continued to ask lots of questions and, after a short conversation, we asked if it was ok to come in and just look around. She relented and left us alone for a total of 5 minutes , during which time, she followed us around the shop, at a distance. I found this very unnerving and disconcerting. Myself and my partner found it difficult to even talk to each other about beds as the lady kept interjecting. When we finally had a few minutes to ourselves, we tried a bed that we really liked! We thought we’d just say that’s what we wanted and leave. But no. The lady came over again and we said we were keen on this bed and she walked us away from it to show us other beds that we really didn’t like! We had to follow her around for about 15 minutes before we eventually just left the store. Please don’t get me wrong. The lady was lovely and helpful but the whole sales approach in this store is awful. I’m pretty sure it’s not her fault as she was a nice genuine person. But the whole experience felt like vultures descending and we just couldn’t get away. Please train your staff to give people space and time. The way the store is just now, I wouldn’t go back and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Funnily enough, I was relaying our experience to a friend that night and she said she had the exact same experience and also left without a bed.
