Nice old fashioned shop ,that gives you that personal touch that some of the other stores doesn't, not hurried and staff are keen to assist.
Popped in to buy our grandson's first walking shoes. Immy dealt with us and was very helpful and listening and we left with shoes and sandals for him. We've always bought Clarks shoes for our kids and have used this particular branch for years and been happy with the choice available and the help given.
Visited for great grandsons back to school shoes. Shop very busy but we were served by Elise. Foot measured and felt very confident and pleased size identified was in stock. Elise was brilliant and a definite asset for the shop. Very confident and pleasant young lady.

Friendly, knowledgable staff, good with the kids. Quality is always good - but prices are getting higher, with limited range on the "sales".
I was asked if I required assistance, and I asked for smart (i.e. Oxford) shoes in a wide fitting. I was pointed towards one end of a shelf which didn't have anything suitable, and the assistant then walked off while I was asking if it were possible to get anything else, I was then told that because of the four days of postal strikes they couldn't even guess how long it would take for an order to be delivered, and suggested I try a different shoe shop. I did, and found something for £35 compared to the £110 I would have paid in Clarks for the style I wanted, had they had any in a wide fitting. Apparently people with wide feet only require particular shoe styles, and that doesn't include Oxford shoes.
Took our little boy for his first pair of shoes. He was a bit scared of having his feet measured but we were helped by Sam who was really friendly and helpful. We weren’t rushed and left with the correct shoes. Highly recommend

Visited during CV19 restrictions - restrictions not too oppressive without being lax. Selection was reasonable and the return policy is frankly amazing for growing kids. Staff polite and helpful. Cost of the shoe felt a little steep but par for the course.
