We were in Glasgow for one night to attend the Peter Kay show at OVO Hydro - location of hotel for us was spot on - handy for both Queen Street and Central Stations. And for one night it worked well. But - the area is tired - any other city a near river frontage near shops and stations would have been developed - but not in Glasgow - a bit like stepping back into 1990 with glimpses of the 1960s - derelict properties, smashed windows, broken pavements, to let signs - security guards on most doors - but the Premier Inn was it's usual template - check in smooth, baggage drop off no issues, friendly front of house staff , room ready from 3pm - the room was fine - needed a bit of updating but comfortable - terrible view from our 7th floor room of a derelict office block - but that is not the hotels fault. Good night sleep - so Premier Inn for us did what we wanted - and breakfast was had at Greggs. So all in all a good experience.

We stayed five nights at this hotel, and overall everything was great. The beds were very comfortable, it was quiet (we didn’t hear any noise), the staff were friendly, the breakfast was delicious, and the location is excellent! The room wasn’t perfectly clean — there were some crumbs on the floor and a few black hairs on the bedding.. The rooms could use a deeper cleaning, and in the bathroom there was only one towel hook, which was a bit inconvenient since there were three of us.

I would love to give more stars for my 5-day stay at this hotel, but it‘s not possible, due to several reasons. 1. There was some kind of children’s gymnastics/dance event taking place in Glasgow and therefore there were feelingly 100 very young kids in the hotel during my stay. They were jumping, screaming, running and generally pounding around from all sides. There was no chance whatsoever to relax and enjoy the vacation while staying anywhere within the hotel. After my first night, I went down to complain and was met by other guests who were already complaining. I understand that children are children, but if the parents can‘t meet their responsibilites of teaching their kids how to act respectfully in a hotel setting, the staff should have reacted. The children were literally setting up basecamps in front of the elevators on each floor to practice their dance/gymnastics moves, accompanied by music, food and what not. They also left a mess behind. The very least the staff should have done is to go to each floor and tell/teach the kids not to camp there and create noise by running/pounding around etc. 2. The carpets were very (!) worn and walls had many scratches all over them. 3. The windows in each room are very narrow and only allow very little light in the room. It gives a little bit of a depressive feeling. 4. There were (even if tiny) mold spots around the bathtub. Now to the positives: 1. The location is absolutely fabulous! Right in the city centre, close to the railway and Buchanan bus station, countless pubs, restaurants and shops. 2. Although I criticized the staff for not stepping in to do something about the kids‘ noise, other than that they were outstanding!!! To lessen my discontent about the noise, I was offered complimentary breakfast, which was a very nice gesture. My room was also switched, due to the cleaning of the mold (which left a strong odor of bleacher) and generally the staff otherwise did the best they could to deal with this chaotic situation around the kids. Cudos to them! 3. Regarding the mold issue, it was dealt with the next day with a bleacher. As just described before, unfortunately, it left a strong odor of bleacher and i needed to change the room. I appreaciate the efforts of all staff involved to remove/lessen the mold, so this was nice to see. 4. The room itself would have been wonderful (if it had bigger windows) and especially the bathroom (bathtub) was very nice. 5. Breakfast was absolutely fine! Classical english breakfast buffet. Maybe I just had bad luck, having booked this hotel exactly in the time of the kids event where the hotel was flooded with noisy children. In other circumstances, I may have given 4 or 5 stars, but I can only tell about the actual experience I had, so that‘s why I was generally very dissatisfied, despite the efforts of the caring staff.

Nice size rooms but with rubbish views. Aircon didn't work and room was bit too warm and windows do not open. Friendly staff. Lush breakfast. Clean hotel, comfy beds, would need to upgrade wifi if you needed to work or stream. Evening time the restaurant said they were absolutely rammed, couldn't even fit 2 in for evening meal despite looking half empty .....

The Premier Inn Glasgow City Centre (St. Enoch Square) offers an exceptional base for exploring the vibrant heart of Glasgow. Its location is truly unbeatable, making it a standout choice for both leisure and business travelers. Situated right by St. Enoch Square, you're mere steps away from the bustling Buchanan Street, Glasgow's premier shopping destination, and the lively main market. What truly elevates this hotel is its incredible proximity to transport links. Being near both Glasgow Central and Queen Street train stations means seamless connections for arriving, departing, or venturing further afield. This convenience eliminates any travel stress, allowing you to maximize your time enjoying the city. The hotel itself upholds Premier Inn's reliable standards: clean, comfortable rooms, often with their signature Hypnos beds ensuring a great night's sleep. The staff are consistently friendly and helpful, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. While the immediate area is buzzing, the rooms offer a quiet retreat from the city' noise. Whether you're in Glasgow for shopping, culture, or business, the Premier Inn at St. Enoch Square provides a wonderful, convenient, and comfortable experience

Really nice hotel with lovely staff who helped out with a self-service checkin issue. Great location within walking distance of basically everything. The breakfast was decent by hotel chain standards. Only minor complaint is that there were very few towels left and they weren't changed by the cleaning staff during the stay. Would definitely return for future Glasgow stays.

The air conditioning in my room was not good really. It's too noisy and I couldn't sleep properly for 3 nights. I have reported for the issue but no one's listen nicely to sort out the issue. My experience to stay in this hotel is really bad. I'm not satisfied with the service and the way their receptionist talked to me. When I check out the hotel I have asked them for fever if they keep my suitcase for 1 hour, and the receptionist lady said no clearly. Service wise and facilities wise my experience is bad. I'm regret to book this hotel and paid such a big amount. Sorry but their receptionist are very rude, instead of to cooperate with customers and fulfil your needs they clearly say no to you.

The standard of the room and initial greeting was deserving of a much higher star rating. However we were left frustrated and confused by the actions of a member of reception staff upon the second evening of our stay (Saturday 17/09). We asked if there would be any availability at all for the rest of the night in the Bar and Block Steakhouse attached to the hotel - but before we could even finish our sentence, we were told abruptly that it was fully booked. I then looked for myself online and every slot was free for the remainder of the night. Not sure how this lie benefited this member of staff, or anyone for that matter. It was a clear lack of motivation to provide decent customer service.

Rooms were spotless as usual. Great location. Next to every shop you could need, lots of pubs/bars/clubs withing meters if the hotel. Only downsides for me was having a view looking into a construction site withing meters of my room window. Outside window was in desperate need of a clean outside also. I love the air-conditioning but I have always slept with a window open for fresh air as I have asthma so not having a window that opens is a bit frustrating. Overall a great hotel and would definitely be back
