Upon arrival the hotel looks great and staff were fine but we struggled to get into the bar as a wedding was on. (This is a wedding venue so that is fair enough but it would have been nice of them to tell us this upon booking) We were placed in a room directly above the dance hall which we weren't aware of until the party got underway and it lasted until 1.30am. My wife and I booked this as a get away hoping to get a good night's kip (we have 3 children so we were hoping to catch up on some sleep) We barely got any and the night time reception staff were completely useless. There was no other rooms for us to move to so we were simply stuck. We checked out at 7.30am to drive back to Edinburgh to catch on an even more disrupted night that what were used too. I tried calling the hotel to speak to the manager a couple of days later, manager wasn't in so I was promised a call back, nothing. I wrote an email a week later and I was told the manager was on holiday and they would get back to me. No response yet again. Very disappointed as this hotel has the potential to be a great place to stay and eat but the manager is quite clearly incompetent. Be aware if your booking, check if there is a wedding on otherwise you will not get a good night's sleep.

Well what an amazing day, Lorraine, Amy and their staff did an outstanding job. Our wedding couldn’t have gone any better. From start to finish it was so professional and magical. The staff were outstanding and very helpful. Amy and Lorraine you both are stars, you made me feel not only clam but also beautiful. Honestly wouldn’t off had my wedding at any other venue you have all made my dream wedding come true we are forever grateful. Love the new Mr & Mrs York

This hotel was ideal location to visit my family in polloshaw and visit to glasgow. Booked a double room but bed was two singles put together with zip cover, room was clean and tea & coffee facillities. Booked restaurant excellent service and meal also enjoyed bar area. We had breakfast included.

The bar staff need to learn some manners. I attended a wedding here and was served numerous times until later when the bar staff changed. I was refused service due to a badge I wore. I spoke to the bar staff politely expressing my opinion differs from yours but that's no reason to refuse service, she consulted her boss who was too afraid to continue I was told due to my badge I won't be served. I had to get a friend to go to the bar. Maybe you should train your staff on diversity respect is a 2 way street. Because I have an opinion ( badge on display) is no reason to refuse service.

We took my Mum for lunch at the Redhurst today - a belated birthday treat....or at least, it should've been. The waiting staff were perfectly fine, but the food, I'm afraid, was a massive disappointment for all three of us. I had the haddock goujons, Mum had the chicken escalope with peppercorn sauce, and my husband ordered Katsu chicken. The goujons had hardly any fish in them (and I do mean 'hardly any'), mainly made up of very overdone batter. Mum's chicken was overcooked and the peppercorn sauce was ridiculously peppery. I thought she was dramatizing slightly until I tried it myself, and I like spice of all kinds, but it was crazy strong with pepper. My husband's Katsu chicken had a similar issue to mine in that there was hardly any chicken - again, mostly overdone batter. The Katsu sauce was very bland. The best part of his dish was the rice which came with it. Dessert-wise, Mum ordered sticky toffee pudding and we shared a chocolate brownie with ice-cream. Now, my Mum has a sweet tooth, but she struggled to finish hers as the pudding itself, had clearly been zapped too long in the microwave and was very chewy. Our chocolate brownie, wasn't terrible, but certainly didn't taste homemade (possibly out of some catering pack). Such a shame as it's a lovely looking venue, but we won't be back.

We booked our at home wedding reception here following our destination wedding and i would would have said the staff were less than helpful. Another family member also booked a function here and we are experiencing the same issues. I have worked in the event sector for many years and would not recommend this hotel at all!

NYE party was an absolute shambles, poorly organised to say the least! We basically paid £10 a ticket to sit in a pub - we ended up leaving after an hour and had to find somewhere else for the bells as we didn’t have a table, there was no dance floor and no tennents lager. Just confused as to what we actually paid for. Not a good experience at all, been at redhurst before and thought it was a decent venue but last night made me think otherwise.

We went for a family Christmas Day lunch to the Redhurst and to say we were badly let down wouldn’t be doing it justice. Hotel looks great and food was good but that’s all the positives. I’ve posted a longer review on Trip Advisor as there were so many negative aspects about the ‘service’ that it wouldn’t fit into the Google review. Such a huge let down on what should have been a happy family occasion. To summarise, extremely long waits for food and drink, ear bleedingly loud music, wrong orders, rude staff and general chaos. There are much, much better places in Glasgow and the Southside in particular, save your money and go elsewhere.

The staff were very helpful and cheerful, the food was excellent, so much so that we are dinner there on both of our nights stay. Since the refurb it is very prestigious. Good all round. Will stay again.

The room was quite small, there was no place to store clothes during longer stay. There was no restaurant available when we were there. If you are there over the week end, expect extra noise from functions. The function room was good, we attended a wee celebration there. Staff were good and drink was good as well.
