My parents got married here almost 30 years ago so we thought we would visit so I could see it and wow it was magnificent. Very gorgeous location. We did stop for a coffee which was also in a beautiful room. I would love to visit and stay one day.

UNIQ SAN ★★☆☆☆
I stayed at the hotel as a birthday treat and had high expectations, especially after booking one of the Executive Rooms. These rooms are advertised as being decorated with bold statement colours and featuring large, comfortable beds, with the option to enjoy views over the impressive Gleddoch golf course or the blue hues of the Clyde Estuary upon request. Unfortunately, on arrival we were not asked about our room preference and were instead allocated a room with no windows or views at all. The room had double doors that opened directly onto the parking lot, which was disappointing and not what we expected from an Executive Room experience, especially given the occasion. To the hotel’s credit, this was resolved for our second night and we were moved to a much nicer room, which really highlighted what we had missed out on the first night. While we appreciated the effort to fix the issue, it did leave us feeling let down overall, as the second room showed how much better the stay could have been from the start. As this was a birthday gift, the initial disappointment did take the shine off the experience. I also agree with previous comments regarding the spa. The £25 per person charge does not feel justified, as it essentially seems to cover their own facility upgrade rather than adding value for guests. Additionally, having to use the spa strictly within assigned time slots is very inconvenient and makes it difficult to relax and enjoy the experience fully. The layout of the hotel itself feels like a maze, with rooms located alongside key areas such as the restaurant, spa, and bars. As a result, there is constant foot traffic past the rooms, and noise from people walking by can be heard frequently, which impacts the sense of peace and privacy you’d expect from a stay like this. Overall, while there are positives and the second room was lovely, the inconsistencies, additional charges, and layout issues meant the experience didn’t quite live up to expectations, particularly for a special occasion.

We stayed just for one night as we were travelling up to glencoe. The fact that our dog was allowed in and the rooms were of high-quality made it even more special. We arrived in the evening and they managed to fit us in the restaurant. The food was great, generous portions and cooked fresh! We woke up early in the morning and had a dog walk around the golf course with the map that they provided to witness a spectacular sunrise. After the walk, we went to the spa and wow! If you stay here, make sure you check into the spa with the facilities they have it was amazing. After that, we had a lovely breakfast with great views and great service. Would stop here again.

Had a great midweek stay for dinner and spa and were very impressed. The spa is immaculate and has a stunning outside sauna with floor to ceiling glazing looking out over the Clyde and views of Argyll. There's a large 8/10 person outdoor hot tub, outdoor cold water bucket and even a brass monkey ice bath. The bar at the spa has a good range of drinks which you can take to the hot tub. There were two powerful steam rooms with different aromas and an indoor sauna too. Dinner was excellent and the service all round from all members of staff was spot on. Attentive and friendly. Great to see a place like this succeeding on the west coast, with Mar Hall being one of the only alternatives but possibly much more expensive? Great price too. Will definitely return and be recommending this to friends and family.

Myself and two friends had an overnight DBB and shared an executive family room. Every member of staff we spoke to or passed by was incredibly warm and friendly. The room was beautifully decorated, with a modern bathroom and a good size overall. The outdoor spa pool overlooks stunning views and the indoor facilities were great too. Dinner was delicious and they have a great selection of drinks. We all had a back, neck and shoulder massage in the spa which were amazing, the staff listened to our concerns on terms of problem areas and worked on then. Would highly recommend! Already booked back up for the end of the month.

We stayed at the hotel for one night with a dinner bed and breakfast deal. The location is beautiful, good views and tranquil surroundings. We stayed in the newer part of the building which was a shame as the older part of the building is very beautiful. Bar was pleasant for a drink in the afternoon. Food in the bar was very good and service fast and friendly.

Staff are fantastic. very friendly, attentive and want you to enjoy your stay this is across the board from reception - cleaners - ground staff. Rooms are spacious and clean with great water pressure. The email to " make us an offer to upgrade" is a nice touch. My only criticism is there is no music / atmosphere in the restaurant or bar. the space itself is fine however nothing for guests to do after their dinner other than sit in silence in the bar. otherwise highly recommend for an overnight with your partner.

Had an overnight stay here and absolutely loved it. The staff were all lovely and friendly especially bar and restaurant staff, the service was fantastic. The breakfast was fresh and absolutely delicious especially the sausages they were amazing. The spa facilities were excellent especially the outside hot tub with views could have spent hours using the facilities so lovely and relaxing. The whole place just has a lovely atmosphere and I would absolutely recommend staying here. I will definitely book to go back as loved it 10/10 for an amazing hotel, facilities and staff.
