I booked this place for my Dad to stay in after going for chemo at a near by hospital so he could get some rest. He said having chemo was a nicer experience than being in this hotel. There is also a £60 deposit to pay to cover any breakages, although everything in the room is already broken.

It is impossible to sleep here on Friday and Saturday nights, as extremely loud music from the pub directly below the rooms plays until 1 a.m. The walls literally shake and even earplugs do not help. The room looked nothing like the photos in the listing – everything was very old and dirty. The entire hotel is filled with a strong kitchen smell coming from the restaurant and pub in the building. The mattress was so worn out that the metal springs were sticking through – this is no exaggeration. On top of that, the place is extremely overpriced, and a £60 deposit is required just for the room. On a positive note, most of the staff were friendly and helpful, with the exception of the hotel manager.
Nightmare, not recommended price through the roof, was TV but socket was on opposite wall, so extension lead is a solution. Find better hotel this is no a recommended. Rooms are in total disrepair hotel needs to be renovated.
Really good. Delighted we found this wee place, a little set back from the road and away from the crowds. Food was great, nice and hearty. Beer was good, and the accompanying whisky was just the thing. Highly recommend. Great with the kids as well. Clean plates all round!
Rooms were beautiful, and most important were the beds and bathroom what I look for in hotel rooms. Generally we look for comfort and this is the place to go for, with really good food in lounge. Overall beautiful stay with very nice food.
You get what u pay for nothing to shout home about the chambermaid needs to clean rooms a bit better found lipstick on glass girl who checked us in couldn’t have been more helpful or cheerful
The worst hotel i ever stayed in. Sleep on the floor, the beds are horrible. No hot water in the room. You have to shower icemen style.
Beautiful stay , wonderful staff, We stayed here with family last Monday night and it was awesome. Very accommodating staff and really nice food. The hotel rooms are being refurbished and seriously looks good. It will be a good thing to stay in fully refurbished hotel
