I had booked this room in advance for a double bed, but when I checked in, the room had two single beds instead. I immediately contacted the receptionist, but she was quite rude and unwilling to discuss the issue. She simply said that they received my booking only today and that no double-bed rooms were available, without offering any solution. I then contacted Booking.com for support, and they informed me that the issue would be resolved within 3 working days, which was not helpful at all during an ongoing stay. This completely defeated the purpose of booking in advance. Additionally, the bed provided was not comfortable, which further affected the quality of the stay. Overall, this experience was disappointing due to poor communication, lack of customer service, and uncomfortable bedding. I would not recommend this property unless these issues are properly addressed.

Abbie checked us in and was lovely, we needed more towels and some heating in the room which she organised immediately. We checked out with Natasha who also was incredibly helpful and organised our breakfast. All the staff couldn’t be more inviting and made us feel very welcome. Thank you!

The location of the hotel was very central and easy to find. Checking in was easy, until the card didn’t work to make the electricity work, after an hour, we eventually got a different room. We ate in the restaurant, I ordered from the app, the discount code didn’t work all the time so worked out quite expensive and time consuming as the app didn’t have the facility to save card details, so every time my husband wanted a drink, I had to insert all my details over and over. The main reason I gave a low score and will not recommend this hotel, was the beds were awful. Far too firm and I’d saw absolutely not support at the bottom of the bed, so felt like we were sleeping on a hill. We barely slept an woke up with sore shoulders, hips and back. The most important part of a break is a good nights sleep, unfortunately we didn’t enjoy it at all

Both my partner & I were very pleased with the standard of the room, the quality of the food & the friendliness of the service, particularly the lady that served us for breakfast on the Sat morning (29th) I think her name was something like Natasha, a very happy person that was doing her very best to deal with everyone on a Sat morning, she just got on with everything, showing people to their tables, explaining about the continental breakfast, taking their orders & bringing the food to us as well, she was a absolute star, a lot of people wouldn't of handled that pressure, I think having a second person front of house would of just taken the pressure off & given the lady to time really offer outstanding service, but she was still brilliant. The rooms had a much better feel of quality compared to Premier Inn & Travel Lodge. We will be using you again. Thank you for a great stay.
