   I purchased a drill from Bolton Argos, within 3 days it developed a fault, I returned it to Westhoughton Argos with the receipt, original box and packaging, the guy was very rude and told me he won't refund as it's obviously been used, he told me the case has a crack in it where it had been dropped, I asked him to show me this so called crack and he couldn't. Thankfully Bolton Argos are a lot more helpful and I got sorted there.

   Terrible customer service here at Westhoughton, really quite rude and confrontational, and the manager is the only one who can do returns???? Thankfully my issue was sorted quickly and with understanding by the Leigh branch

   No stars. Absolutely shocking customer service. Arrived to collect my parcel as per email stating it was ready. The woman on the till was really rude and abrupt. She said it’s not ready to collect, so I asked when should I come back. She said she doesn’t know , no explanation or any kind of reason, just that it’s not there. No communication that there is a delay from Argos. She then stared at me blankly until I moved out the queue. I have never received such poor service. I’m going to go back tomorrow- maybe they will have it maybe not…boo Argos employee. *update Argos have now cancelled my order

   I went today to return a faulty strimmer, the strimmer wire kept on breaking, had to reset it every 5 minutes, the staff tried to tell me that the fault was normal. They were trying everything to avoid giving me a refund, I only bought it a week ago. I told the that I had already called the manufacturers help line, where they suggested I return the item, as it was within 30 days of purchase. I told the staff that I was going to buy a different more expensive model. The staff member said if that had a fault I couldn't bring it back??? Not good customer service. They reserved me the other model for collection in a few days, why would I go back with such poor customer care. Same model available on Amazon with same price, so guess where I'm taking my business.

   My elderly mother aged 79 ordered over the phone a washing machine. Last month. Money taken from her account. No delivery. She keeps ringing Argos only to hear automated message about delivery problems. I know its a difficult time for businesses. But to not make contact to an end user about an un delivered washing machine. Pretty poor effort to a vulnerable member of society.

   Best shop in the world! Walk in, walk out. Never been in for more than five minutes. Reserve your items. It's so easy. And you get a an email receipt which is excellent. Great staff also. I go a few times each month.

   The staff and the service is very good but beware if you happen to be buying an HP laptop from them. I bought one on the 21st of may .It has a 12 month HP warranty when registering the product found out it had been registered with them in February Reducing my HP warranty by 2months this was brand new all security seals etc in place. HP make you send in photos of original receipt etc loads of hassle. HP hinting Argos are at fault so buyer beware as God knows how have been pre registered by Argos.
