Used klarna instore to purchase items. Please be careful as they only give a credit note. So another retailer thats about to go under. Taking cash and giving you paper back. Klarna has been informed and assistant said if you accept klarna, the return function is a given but not this store. Take your custom to a more reputable store.
Two reviews in one. Initially Karen helped us in store she is absolutely amazing in her knowledge and her personality is exceptional a true asset to the ‘Go’ company. She clearly goes above and beyond for her customers. Unfortunately our shopping experience changed dramatically at the check out where we had the unfortunate experience of dealing with JADE! She was cheeky, confrontational and had the worst attitude I have experienced from a member of staff in any shop ever! She simply should not be allowed near the public in any roll and definitely should not be representing the ‘Go’ company. Spoke with her Manager Stuart and I suggested if she worked for me she would instantly be an ex employee…… his response was “it’s complicated”. It’s not complicated at all she shouldn’t be representing your company. My 8 year old son surmised it perfectly “Anger issues” I would strongly urge management to consider her a liability. Jade is absolutely not who you want representing your store. I’m disgusted.
Absolutely appalling customer service. Scratch that - nonexistent customer service is more accurate. Visited today: 4pm 5/9/25. Wanted to try on some hiking boots so I picked up a few and looked for a staff member to get me the size I needed. Couldn’t see anyone around so I waited near the stock room door. A man (bald with long beard) came out and completely ignored me. I then asked if there was anyone else available to which he said ‘No, not at the moment’ and disappeared again. No acknowledgement, no apology, no “I’ll be with you as quick as I can”, no smile, no nothing. Dreadful. When he finally returned I asked for the sizes I wanted. He then wordlessly went off to get them and when he came back, just dropped the boxes on the seat and didn’t say anything to me. He brought me two of the same pair so I had to ask for the other ones. No care and attention whatsoever. Didn’t ask me how the shoes were or anything. Just ignored me. I was willing to spend whatever it took to get the best shoes but ended up just being quick and getting basic ones because I was appalled at the dreadful service and wasn’t going to hang around. Then my husband and I went to the till to pay. I asked for a bag because I also bought some bags and socks and spent over £100. The young man at the till didn’t look at me at all, barely looked at my husband. Just asked if it was cash or card. No smile. No “did you find everything you needed?”. Didn’t put my things in the bag, just chucked it on the side for me to load myself after we’d paid and then he walked off. Overall, the customer service here was shockingly bad. Last week, I visited the other store on the other side of Glasgow and it was an ENTIRELY different experience - the staff there were friendly, polite, chatty and helpful. The polar opposite. Will never return to this branch again. Disgusted at the service that paying customers receive. Need I remind you that without customers paying your wages, you would not have jobs. Be more grateful. Disgraceful. Will not be back and would highly recommend for anyone reading this to go to the OTHER branch in Glasgow, do not bother wasting your time here.
Delayed review from July The staff took their time to explain everything in detail, demonstrating their extensive knowledge and thoroughness. Although I have a GoOutdoor closer to me, the layout of the Coatbridge shop and the friendly, knowledgeable staff make the extra 20-minute drive well worth it
Currently refreshing a lot of my outdoor kit and the team at the Coatbridge store have been fantastic. Following through with the price match every time it’s been needed has been great! Thanks team, I’ll be back again soon!
I went into GoOutdoors today in Coatbridge Thursday the 9th of February and took not well the Staff instore were fantastic looking after me with such great care there name's were Kirsten,Gordon,and Craig and I would like to thank them all for being so kind .
Went in for walking boots for our 10-year old daughter - good range. Helpful staff to assist with fitting.

Stellar service from Cammie today, but the five stars are for the whole store. I go to Coatbridge for all my hiking and camping equipment, and always have a great experience. Everyone in the team are friendly, dynamic and extremely knowledgeable on the impressive array of products. Along with the membership card, discount and price match - it's five stars every day!
