Delighted to find a restaurant serving such tasty and well presented dishes in a cosy setting. The three course menu for £25 is great value and the staff were all friendly and attentive. Plenty of choice to suit everyone including vegetarian option although not sure about vegan. Will definitely be back and look forward to trying the next tasting menu.

Outstanding experience. Friendly, down to earth wait staff. Very casual atmosphere. We were lucky enough to get a same day RESERVATION. It’s a small place so I was told you can’t get in without one. We witnessed that as we saw 3 different parties turned away. If you’re still reading this, stop and make a reservation. You have to call, as the web link takes you to the owner’s personal page (a little weird) I don’t know if their menu varies but I’d strongly recommend the French onion soup, the smoked duck salad, short ribs and especially the Sole so delicate and buttery it will melt in your mouth. 3 course meal with wine for under £100. It was worth triple the price.

A fantastic lunch prepared by two excellent chefs and served by a lovely team. Thanks so much for taking the time to chat with us too.

Had a short stay in Selkirk for work. If you're ever in the area please take the time to visit. Amazing food, great wine and the people running the place are brilliant hosts. Keep doing what you're doing, it's really really good!! I would have added more pictures but forgot and started eating! Pictured is the crêpes suzette which were amazing!!!

Phenomenally good food, friendly service. Run by really nice people who have recently reopened the restaurant after keeping it going as a deli during the pandemic. Visiting the area from London, we have to say that such good food would be hard to find at home, certainly at this price. As a bonus, no loud tinned music.

Brilliant. Great service, all three courses were absolutely delicious, and three courses for £19? Amazing value. Creme brulee was so good. Onion soup was very tasty. Duck confit was delicious, maybe just missing that really crispy skin if there was anything that could be improved. Best meal we've had in the borders for a very long time. We'll be back!

Wow, amazing experience at a great hole-in-the-wall restaurant! The staff were super kind and friendly and squeezed us in right at closing. Food was phenomenal, not too expensive, and my mom said it tasted just like the food she ate in Paris! Chef came out several times to greet us himself and ask us how we were doing; he was classically trained for 4 years. Both tourists and locals greeted us inside and said they loved it here. Obviously I’m raving, but it was really that nice of an experience! Totally recommend.
