Arrived for reservation at 1pm, table was waiting. However, table was very very dirty, (not table top, but the sides and in table joints, lots of dirt and crumbs, sides of table had old food stuck to it) Menus were covered in what looked like bean juice and other food. They looked like they had not ever been cleaned. Very unhygienic in the current climate of a super flu. The table decoration had what looked like dried tomato Sause over it. The pot of tea we ordered was black inside. From years of staining and not being deep cleaned. So sorry, but I won’t be returning.

Very poor all round. We reserved a table after years of wanting to visit as highly recommended and arrived on time. Sat at our table which was dirty from the last sitting. Asked for the table to be cleaned and the young girl wiped the table with a dirty cloth and all the bits on the cloth fell on to the table. The waitress was clueless. We ordered 2 breakfasts and 2 kids lunchboxes. The breakfast is small with only one tiny sausage. Its a farm shop so I expected the sausage to be much better. My partner found a hair in her breakfast which was not small. We asked for a refund which we got but there didn't seem to be any concern from the young staff. Almost as if they didn't really know what to do. The kids had a cheese sandwich which was a single sandwich with grated packet cheese which fell apart in the box. Very disappointed, again the cheese should be fresh. Both kids left most of it. All in all very expensive for what you get, very poor service and very loud. Unfortunately we will not be returning.

Did the Sunday lunch afternoon tea and it was fantastic! I'm really fussy with a roast but this exceeded expectations! Absolutely delicious, everything cooked perfectly and was so nice to do something different. Highly recommend.

This visit to Poplars Farm was a Christmas present. We were given the cream tea style Sunday roast. It was fabulous. We didn't know what to expect. It was very unusual with an Italian style bread starter the main course was a serving on beef pork and turkey roast potatoes and roast root veg. Followed by sherry trifle scones jam and cream and a slice of cake and pot of tea. We were supplied with take out boxes for what we couldn't eat. The place is dog friendly too which always scores high in my book Thoroughly recommend

Very nice all day breakfast. Good quality ingredients. Normally a disappointment with breakfasts, the sausage, is the star here. Delicious.

Visited for a roast today. Staff made us feel very welcome and accommodated some last minute table changes and fussy toddlers. The food was really good, really nice roast, great potatoes and plenty of gravy. Dessert was afternoon tea style and was excellent. To top it off there's a great space outside for the kids to run around. Would definitely recommend.
