Absolutely delicious sandwich! I had the salt beef and cheese toastie and it was honestly incredible β rich, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully melted together. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming from the moment I walked in, which made the whole experience even better. The cafΓ© is set right in the heart of the gorge, just beside the entrance to the Cheddar Gorge caves, with the sound of water running through beside you. Itβs a truly magical little spot β the kind of place you stumble upon and instantly want to return to. Highly recommended!

Enjoyed my first visit to this cafe. Food looked good and the cake I had was warmed which was a pleasant surprise. Good sized latte but the cost at Β£9 was high for me however it is in Cheddar so you are paying visitor attraction prices.

After a trip through the caves we decided to stop off for a scone. Upon entering we were greeted by a wall of celebrity pictures. Adam richman(ManVsFood) the toasty was absolutely stunning and is probably the nicest one Iβve ever eaten accompanied by homemade coleslaw which again was heavenly. Couldnβt not have a scone too. Staff unbelievably polite. 10/10 recommend

Cafe Gorge is a perfect little pause before the adventure begins. It opens earlier than the museum, so you can start the day here with something fresh and tasty, enjoying a quiet moment before the crowds arrive. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it easy to relax and gather energy before exploring the gorge and caves.

Lovely selection of food, staff were extremely friendly and service was quick. It was busy the 3 times I attended at various times across the weekend. Coffee was very nice (barista made) and cookies equally so. A wide selection of cakes and pastries as well as a menu of food choices such as breakfast sandwiches, cream teas, baked potatoes and toasties. Option to take away food was nice for when no seat could be found although patrons quickly moved on noting how busy it was and people waiting. Indoor and outdoor seating access from the cafe. Outdoor overlooked the road and small river running right in front Great access to the gorge from the site being just up from the caves and Jacobβs ladder.

Great local cafe! Stopped by for a late lunch and was not disappointed. The toasties were scrumptious and cakes looked good too. With a decent selection of hot & cold food, they are competitively priced and have a wide variety of hot drinks - perfect for after a long walk!

This cafe is a MUST if you love a good cheddar scone! We enjoyed a warm cheddar scone and a warm cheddar potato onion pie! I may not be an expert in scones or pies, but I am an expert in flavors and textures! The scone was beautifully buttery and the cave aged cheddar on top was the perfect sharpness to complement the flavor! The pie had a perfectly crisp short crust pastry (no soggy bottom) and just a down right deliciously creamy filling with potatoes and onions! My only regret is not ordering a dozen to go!

The Cafe Gorge is amazing. First visited 5 and a half years ago, loved it then, been back this weekend and not disappointed. Clean, tidy, attentive staff, amazing food and drink in a lovely environment. Can not recommend this place enough

Great location and view from inside. Ok menu. I had big breakfast @ Β£12. Ok taste but nothing really special and not that big. Great loose leaf tea selection and the pastries, cakes and pastyβs looked good too.

Tasty English breakfast. The bacon is not over salty ( as with some cheap offerings) and the sausages are of a high quality. Coffee is a fine flavoured blend without being over powering on the old taste buds. The service is quick and efficient, despite the staff being busy they still managed to greet every customer with a friendly smile and a warm welcome. And its dog friendly too.
