Stopped in here as I was visiting Severn Beach with friends. Lovely atmosphere, very clean and tidy inside! Outside seating also look lovely but it was a bit too cold to be sitting outside. I ordered a deluxe milkshake, and let me tell you it was amazing! My friend also got a chocolate cake slice (Not pictured as he ate it too fast Lol!), and from what he told me it was delicious. The staff here were also very nice people! My order was quick to be prepared, and I was met with nothing but kindness. If youβre in the Severn Beach area I highly recommend going to Shirleyβs Cafe if youβre looking for a nice meal, or a cup of coffee and cake!

Popped in for a snack whilst cycling in the area. They were approaching closing time and I was very kindly given a sandwich too. Very clean cafe which must be popular. Highly recommended.

Took my dog for a long walk along the coastline, and on the way back to the railway station we popped into Shirley's Cafe. A latte and lemon cheesecake, which was absolutely delicious. My dog enjoyed a couple of sausages and free water provided by the owners We relaxed in the garden under the brollies, enjoying a bit of shade and my dog just crashed out lol Very good food at a very reasonable price

We had the full English breakfast it was absolutely delicious. All the ingredients were freash and cooked to perfection plus the plates were hot just how I like it served. We were a family of eleven and our well behaved dog and the staff managed to sest us close together. Lovely staff and atmosphere.

Cute little place. Seems extremely popular! So much so that we were told we'd have to wait 40 minutes for a cooked breakfast. Such a shame! Had a piece of cake and a very nice coffee though. I was impressed by their vintage jukebox and pinball machine, but disappointingly, these were both labelled Not in Use.

A hidden gem! Found this place by accident last year and have been back many times. Ideal for a little walk along the front and then stop for a snack. Hot food is all home cooked and you can tell, it's amazing. Staff are always super friendly and welcoming, it has a lush homely feel to it. Also dog friendly outside which is great. Would highly recommend.

I was pleasantly surprised when I pulled up outside of Shirley's Cafe. It looked really nice, Clean Bright and welcoming. My sister had booked a table in advance so we were able to sit inside given it was still a bit cool outside. The Cafe had all the Covid safety features required including a one way system, clearly marked standing areas 2 metres apart, a screen at the counter, hand wash and a whole array of things we now accept as 'normal'. The menu was on each table and there was a bigger one on the wall behind the counter. It had all the usual things one would expect from a Cafe plus a few extras that gave it a bit of an edge. I ordered the breakfast Β£4.95 (one sausage, one fried egg, mushrooms, Bacon, half a tomato and a pot of baked beans) plus Toast (50p) which is extra and doesn't come as part of the meal, though I was very tempted with the Cottage pie (Β£6.95). My Sister went for the Ham Egg and Chips at Β£5.45. The food was freshly cooked, and cooked, no fat, no grease, the chips were delicious and both meals were nicely presented. I usually moan about the toast (I had a choice of white or brown) being on the same plate as the meal as it tends to get soggy but given the beans were in a pot, they were kept separate so it wasn't really an issue. I would have liked to see a 'large breakfast' on the menu as I know people who would eat this twice over and still be hungry. We had a pot of Tea and a black coffee. Sadly the tea was a bit cold by the time I poured it so i got a fresh one in a mug, which was much better. Sauce had to be ordered with the meal and came in a little paper dish but it wasn't anywhere near enough for me and I would have liked a bigger portion. The Chips were salted with Vinegar at the counter by the server (upon request) which I guess is an added Covid precaution? The seating was comfortable and the venue was bright and cheerful. It was obviously popular as loads of people came in either to sit or for take away. The Cafe is Dog Friendly ( some thing I'm not keen on. Dogs and food don't mix in my book). So, on balance a nice little place, service was good and methodical (mainly due to Covid restrictions) the venue was clean and comfortable, Food good, prices reasonable. If you want a walk along the sea wall with a spot of tasty grub afterwards you could do much worse than call in at Shirley's.
