Love this place! Perfects for cyclists. The owner goes above and beyond to always make you feel welcome! The cakes and coffee are just the best! She also sells some really lovely quirky stuff for presents and it’s even small enough to carry on your bike! Plenty of room to put your bikes where you can see them!
The worst breakfast I've had in England in 15 years. Very slow service. They served us eggs with hard yolks. After returning them, they came back very overcooked, and the bacon was like cardboard, dry and tough. The coffee was good. The bathroom had a very dirty toilet. Not recommended.
Good quality coffee, slow service, but that’s because the poor girl had to work on her own taking payments and making drinks, with another operating from the kitchen. I appreciate in a small business it is difficult to do everything. So overall very good, just a bit more queueing than what would be perfect, but 5 star potential.
Mother Hen is a great asset to the village of Wrington. The welcome is warm, the food is great, and the ice cream superb. As an ex-cyclist, I can confirm that my kind can sniff out a good cake and coffee stop like bloodhounds. Anywhere they congregate is a sign of a good stop. I can also confirm that cyclists are frequent visitors here—testament to this little village jewel!
Stopped in here after a walk from Congresbury. Great range of homemade toasties, sandwiches and soup. We had a Chorizo & Feta toastie and Leek & Potato soup. Staff really friendly, a great little cafe would recommend folks

Cute coffee shop and gift shop with a great selection of cards, kids toys and also a gorgeous selection of clothing. And you can enjoy browsing while waiting for a coffee or cakes (including gluten free)
Friendly, attentive staff. Great coffee and big, tasty portions of homemade cake. The vegetable quiche/tart was also very enjoyable!
