Food was shit they cooked my burger on one side until it was burnt! I sent the cheese sauce back and they gave me the same one back and said it was fresh? it was thick and lumpy, the microwave food didn’t taste so bad I could have went to Lidl and got it cheaper and then made it at home, not worth eating or coming to, but desperate times called for desperate measures

Went for Christmas Day. And we were waiting a very long time for first course. I’m gluten free , which the staff knew. I couldn’t have the carvery, so had to have the salmon. Very disappointed with my dinner the salmon was burnt, and I’m sure I should have had boiled new potatoes, but came with roasters and stewed veg. We were kept waiting for over an hour for the main course and no-one bothered to inform us. My husband said the Que for the carvery was painfully slow and by the time he came back to the table I have already eaten mine. No-one bothered to clear our plates when the pudding came out. We went over an hour with our time a lot , that was down to the slow service. They staff were polite, so I felt I couldn’t complain to the waitress. Also there was no Christmas atmosphere, and no Christmas songs playing.

The worst experience ever, we attended for Christmas dinner today, we waited 45 minutes for our starters for come to the table. Carvery was lovely no faults. All 7 tables in the area we were sitting waited another 45 minutes for the tables to be cleared, there was no sign of puddings and when we asked how long the puddings would be we were told it wont be long, they arrived 45 mins after our main. when it did arrive the ice cream was like water and the chocolate cake was hard and dryed up, we couldn't even eat it. There was no communication from staff, and they didnt seem to care when we asked. We had a time slot for 2 hours and we were still there 3hr 30mins later. Unfortunately we had places to be so we couldn't even wait and get our coffees and mince pies. The atmosphere was awful as most tables were complaining about the service. This was an absolute waste of money.

Went for Christmas Day lunch and booked under the gluten free menu, the starter came and looked disgusting so I didn’t try it which is great and they had completely forgotten my allergy. We weren’t told that we could go and get our food so we just sat there waiting for someone to come and serve us. After about 45 minutes we called over one of the waitresses who told us that we could’ve gone up whenever and she didn’t realise no one had told us. Again nothing is stated about my allergy. We go up to get the food and I ask the chef at the carvery if the pigs in blankets are gf and he said he’d have to check. I cannot thank this man enough as if he didn’t tell me the veg for some reason contained gluten I wouldn’t have known. He made me separate veg and gravy and was the only one who even bothered to treat us like we were there. It was really disappointing for how much was paid for the dinner. We left before desert as we’d already been there for 2 hours and I didn’t trust that the food was going to be gluten free. I understand Christmas is busy however nothing excuses forgetting an allergy that is stated when the booking is made and when it’s told to staff upon arrival. The carvery is stated on the gluten free menu for Christmas Day yet was not gluten free? If you have an allergy please do not eat here.

The best roast dinner you can have in Bristol! - Lovely food & lovely staff ESPECIALLY Katie & Callum! They are an asset to the team and are extremely pleasant and deserve a raise! Kitchen staff are amazing too, the food was perfect with no issues whatsoever! Thanks guys for the best experience!

Had 2 carverys (1 vegetarian 1 meat), as only one chef in so all were doing on day. That was fine all looked great and tasted great at time of eating. Unfortunately meat eater had upset tummy the same day (may not been related as my meat free one was ok). Cheaper than Toby Carvery an choice small medium large plates.

First, I accidentally ordered 2 sides of Bang Bang Cauliflower as ‘sides’ rather than ‘mains’ (unpictured) for £4.49. I thought this process was a bit confusing. As we wanted a main meal, i then ordered the pictured 'Bang Bang Cauliflower' for £7.99 which is described as a curry. I would argue it is not. With the main meal, I also ordered the ' 2 Extra Poppadums & Mango Chutney' for £1 which was never received. I truly forgot about these as I obviously had a lot of food after eating the sides first. The other dish, which I thought was a big children’s meal, was 'Chicken Dippers' for £1.49. This meant I ordered the '2 Vegan Quorn Sausages' for £3.49, (with mash and beans). This, my child really liked and was a bigger portion. I’m writing a review to highlight the problems I had, and I think the menu would really benefit from some pictures. Also, ordering the drinks on the app took a long time and I would recommend going to the bar. The service was really good, and we had a nice time.

I am not normally into these type of places to eat but we needed somewhere and other locations were busy. We entered, quickly found a table and decided to try the carvery, so often a bad choice. However the portions were huge, the beef and turkey really nicely cooked and staff so friendly. Can see us returning

Very poor. Booked a table online way in advance to be told when we arrived only carvery being served. Think they could of contacted us before hand to tell us this. Lack of staff . Lots of tables so say reserved when we walked in but not one was occupied throughout the evening. Then to top it off was told No diet coke either being served. I've never heard of a pub running out of coke. Staff scruffy and not overly pleasant. Will not be rushing back.
