Great pub selling great beer, good real ale options. Historic building with amazing interior. Snack type food with a wonderful selection of pickled eggs. We use the pub whenever we get the chance. Good outdoor seating area for the better weather.
A fantastic pub that ticks all the boxes for drink and snack selection, atmosphere, friendliness and knowledge of the staff. And of course, what a beautiful interior. Especially impressed with the pickled eggs and the Yuzu Peel infused Lambic we had.
The cask bitter beer is fantastic. Lovely little area to sit outdoors, or enjoy the snug atmosphere inside. I quite enjoyed having a few pints here with my friends and making new ones in the time it took to drink!
Nice little boozer not too busy on a Saturday evening. Staff were v. friendly and helpful. Choice of 4 real ales, I had the pale ale, a bit lively served in a old time pint pot with handle but v palatable.
Tiny small but cozy pub with variety of tap beer. With original tram decoration. See, the toilets in a historic look. Remind you that there’s crowds in weekends, difficult to find a seat!
Lovely little boozer, nice selection of beers, limited selection of soft drinks/spirits. And dog friendly, which is always welcome when you have a large pub dog.
A hidden gem in Bristol! This pub is steeped in history and full of fascinating old features. The bar sells local beer from one of my favourite Breweries in Bristol, Good Chemistry. I felt really at home and welcomed when I entered. It reminds me of the old Samuel Smith pubs in London. Definitely worth checking out if you're visiting Bristol or looking for a cosy spot to catch up with friends.
An intimate and traditional olde boozer, with just a sprinkling of modernity from Good Chemistry. Warmly-welcomed on arrival and served a cask best, traditional in style and in absolutely mint condition. This is now arguably the best pub in the vicinity of Bristol’s main railway station, but they lost a point for irritatingly not accepting cash which remains the original and best budgeting method for many a serious drinker.
Excellent cosy pub, with a good selection of ales, can get very busy. Close to Temple meads station.
