Came here on a whim sunday afternoon, the atmosphere is almost as if you’re stepping back into the 1960’s, friendly, warming, old school and rustic. Major old school boozer! We ordered a lamb and beef roast, although the wait was a little while (they were very busy, and we didn’t mind being in such a cool pub!) the roast was steaming, massive portion and the meat just melted in our mouths!! Honestly the best sunday experience we have ever had. Definitely will be back :)
Proper proper boozer. Such an amazing atmosphere, so good you almost don't want it to be too busy. 50p pool, how can you be unhappy with that. So much charm from the interior and locals, it's like having a chippy tea with the footy in the background, knowing you the day off tomorrow.
Cozy very 'local' pub with pool table and a very chilled pub dog (big bonus points!). Pints were a good price for Bristol with an ok selection, bar lady was very friendly and said hello/asked for orders basically as soon as we were in the door. Overall a friendly place for locals to enjoy a drink whilst supporting a non-chain business, would recommend.
Brilliant little pub. Always a warm welcome from Debbie the Landlady. Sunday lunch highly recommended.
