Wow! Me and my partner were genuinely so impressed. Lynn the Landlady was astonishing, and made us the most incredible grub at a decent price. Friendly, calm and welcoming atmosphere... you don't get pubs like these anymore. Highly recommend and will be visiting again. If only I could provide more stars!
We were greeted with a lovely smile and welcome. I informed them that I had booked and was shown my table. We ordered drinks and our meal and sat down. In less than 15 minutes we were served. The meal was lovely and hot as were the plates, and the meal, (standard not large) was more than plentiful. It was gorgeous. I would really recommend people to visit for their Sunday lunch. Make sure you phone in advance to book your table.

Have always had great food here especially the Sunday lunches Always found the staff and lynne very friendly and welcoming.Its our local although we don't use often when we do its always enjoyable.

Excellent quality meals. Covid aware establishment. Never had a below par meal in the 4 years of using them. Welcoming and friendly owners and staff. This was Cumberland sausages, mash, peas, onion rings and gravy. Scrummy meals at affordable prices. Our ONLY eat out venue. Cannot fault the place. The Trooper is a place where you can get great homecooked meals that are a little bit extra special. Highly recommended public house. 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
