We came to Thekla for a gig (what a great venue) and had to suffer some crap chain pub rubbish before the gig. We did however find this gem of a pub after the gig. This is a real pub! Louise the bar lady was lovely and welcoming. Top proper pub!

Never knew this was here! Ambling back home, we popped by, sat outside, loads of tables. Realllllly cheap pub!! Just what we needed! Quiet on a sat night at 10 ish so we had free roam. The staff were really nice.

1st time just nipping in after a gig. A mate had told me about it; both lived in Bristol all our lives and never been there until now. Awesome pub, friendly bar lass and locals don't appear to be lunatics. Will go back for a proper session soon.

I've only recently discovered this pub, despite working 5 minutes' walk away for the last 3 years (although quite a bit of that was covid). A proper local pub, tucked away behind St Mary Redcliffe. Lots of good outside seating, sports screens inside and sensibly-priced beer.
