The best pub I’ve ever been to by far. The atmosphere is fantastic, you can always find a table, the staff are great and they have deals every day of the week. It’s got outdoor seating and heat lamps and a tv, it’s everything I could want in a pub!

Bit of a disappointing Sunday lunch. Roast potatoes not up to scratch. Veg quite bland. Gravey was very bland (just tasted like intant). Beef itself was quite good. Portion size on the trimmings was quite mean too. Price was quite high. Consensus was the same across the table for every roast. Nice staff and service though and nice beers.

Bar staff and owner are really kind and friendly. First time here in Bristol and was recommended here for Sunday roasts. Really glad we listened. Food was absolutely tasty. Will definitely be coming back next time we come here.

Well I'm not Gen Z and I disagree with the last review. Wonderful people who provide a great service and atmos. Feels like home, my proper friendly local who welcome me in, solo, or just me and the dog, or with family or with friends. Great sport on, proud to prioritise women's sport ❤️ love their snacks, their wings, their roast and their wine list - all very reasonable and not pretentious. Never made me feel unwelcome to come in, have a wine and just read a book on my own, if that's all I needed that evening. So thanks Lansdown team!

Took my elderly mum out for Sunday lunch as a party of five and it was fantastic from start to finish. We arrived on time but our table was still being cleared. They offered a table upstairs but I explained my mum struggles with stairs and we were happy to wait. They got the table cleared really quickly, apologised and said they'd take a couple of drinks off the bill. They needn't have done that and I hadn't complained but it really does set a good impression. Vast array of beers to choose from before the food came. Chance to try samples for free too. Food arrived and was superb. We had all the different roasts and no complaints. If anything, there was slightly too much on the plate for some. Not moaning though because it was all cooked perfectly. Service was chilled but efficient. Young team, but all really switched on and helpful. Can't wait to return.

I didn't know that this pub was here despite living in Clifton for the last 6 years, a really great find. a nice bar, good selection of beers, interesting local and mainstream. A heated beer garden all in the middle of Clifton. Service was good, pleasant and quick. The pub had a very nice atmosphere Definitely a great find. I will return

Visited with my family on Sunday and we all had a different roast. They were all equally delicious. The veggie were so perfectly cooked, the meat (we had beef, chicken and pork) so juicy and the gravy exceptional. We will definitely go back to try the other dishes on the menu. Staff was super friendly with us and our one year old plus they recommend us an amazing red wine! Thank you again for a wonderful Sunday lunch.

This was a lovely Vegan Sunday Roast experience, the atmosphere was great and pretty cosy! The table service was super efficient and they were very careful to check our dietary requirements several times with a vegan and lacto-vegetarian. I was surprised to see how many people were in the pub when leaving considering how quick the service was. Roast potatoes could have done with a bit more love, the cauliflower cheese was exceptionally yummy.

The Lansdown is a great neighbourhood pub with a great atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and make you feel at home. I only had drinks there. They had a good selection of beers including my most recent favourite Camden Hells. A good hoppy lager. They show all the sporting events. It’s a great spot to stop for a pint.

Went on Sunday for a roast with my partner and my family. Despite them saying they were a staff member down the service was really speedy. The food itself was excellent. I’ve eaten a lot of roast dinners (too many!) and this one was up there as one of the best I’ve had. All the veg was beautifully cooked, the chicken was nice and moist and the gravy was delicious. Things I liked even more were the fact that they kindly allowed me to have one of the roasted half-apples from the pork dinner with my chicken dinner. Very kind. They also were entirely happy bringing us more gravy when asked. I don’t know why but pubs are often really grouchy about having to bring more gravy! And finally my partner had the vegan roast. Often I find the vegan version of something like a roast to look and feel a little bit of an after thought but this one looked every bit as delicious and grand as the meat versions. We also had a little baby in our group and despite not having dedicated changing facilities we were offered a quiet private space to change him in. Good job.
