This is a lovely little pub. The atmosphere was cost and welcome was friendly and the older locals really funny. We were disappointed that they didn't serve food despite advertising that they did. The pub stays open until 12am so the younger crowd seem to go there when all the other pubs close making it "lively"

Clean and tidy, from research before booking i expected there to be food served but unfortunately not. Found it very noisy because the beer garden and smoking area were right outside our window and our room was on the ground floor (I think it's the only room) en suite was okay but the toilet seat was very loose. No heating in bedroom otherwise than an electric heater which was on an extension lead.

Went to the Kings Head whilst in Cheddar - what a lovely pub! It feels very quaint and welcoming, with a cosy thatched roof and log fire that’s perfect for autumn evenings, and a beer garden for summer! The staff were great and the owner was especially attentive, served us personally and gave us lots of great recommendations on what to see in the town. They also show the sports, which is a nice touch. Overall, a warm and friendly place that’s well worth a visit. Will definitely be back!

Great atmosphere, friendly bar staff and locals. Big beer garden, pool table. Live singer was good, played a range of indie classics and some of his own original music. Great to give the young lad experience. Good range of draft and bottled refreshments. Got local walking and shopping tips from staff and patrons. A lot of young adults but that didn’t bother us. No food available Saturday evening, best to check service in advance. Not a problem, less than 10 min walk to range of eateries in town. Take the top road down, lots of nice gardens, take the low road walking back as it’s flat. We found this place as able to park our camper overnight (we’re 6 meters, no reservation, could fit at least 1 more same size but depends how many cars there). We will be back.

Currently doesn't serve food but is a nice place for drinks and games, nice warm fire and mulled cider and wine. They let us stay in the carpark in our campervan, they said it might be noisy but we weren't disturbed at all. A few different rooms and a beer garden. The games room had free pool which my son enjoyed.

Best pub in Cheddar by far. It's a pity though that so many pubs like this are owned by pub companies that seem to take advantage of their tenants goodwill and hard work.
