Warm and friendly real-ale pub, with a most interesting range of light, hoppy and dark beers available, along with cider on handpump too. Beers in top notch condition.

We are on a one night stay in Bristol, before flying out from Bristol Airport in the morning. We always look for a real ale pub locally when we are in the UK ... this ticked all of our boxes. Well kept locally brewed beers, a fantastic cider selection complemented by the best sausage roll ever and a great manager!! It's in the CAMRA beers guide, a great find, we will be back.

Amazing staff, super welcoming and relaxed feel. And hidden almost, so you get less drunk walk ins, lots of outdoor seating. My favourite place to stop for a drink !

I love this place, it is always very busy and can be hard to find a seat even with just 2 of you. It is more on the crafty side drinks wise, I recommend trying things before getting a pint if you're unsure, which the staff are always fine with. I'm always a bit dubious with the scotch eggs as they aren't kept in a fridge or warmer, they're just on the bar, but people seem to order and enjoy them. Decor is awesome, garden is stunning, staff are knowledgeable and friendly and I definitely recommend a visit if you're in Bristol

First time trying this lovely pub. It’s a proper oasis of a pub as it’s totally surrounded by tall office buildings so you don’t expect it to be here. It has an amazing well maintained beer garden with a water feature and lots of bird feeders. Came here for real cider and they had a few on, went with a Harry’s Corker a properly farmhouse cider just the job on a sunny afternoon Highly recommended

An excellent traditional pub with real character that serves beautifully conditioned ales and porters at fairly reasonable prices. I can’t recommend this place highly enough if you like real ales.

A Bristol institution, excellent choice of beers, small bar area, with a spacious front garden area.

Fab garden in the pub to enjoy your drinks. The price is a little steep compared to others in the area, but a good atmosphere and quick service.
