   We didn't stay here but stopped for dinner whilst passing. It was a great find. The pub restaurant must have been refurbished recently, as everything was looked new, clean and tidy. The food choices were great for us, there was plenty of great sounding meals on the menu and we chose well. The staff were attentive and efficient and the food arrived in good time. It was hot and looked very appetising as well as being incredibly tasty. I would definitely recommend this pub if you are passing.

   One of the best meals I have had out in a long time! Steak was cooked to perfection, gorgeous chips and a well chosen prosecco. What more can you ask for? The pub has been decorated beautifully for the festive season and the staff and chef were great. Thanks so much for getting the festive season started on a positive note, we will return.

   Came for a Sunday roast, and I must say, one of the best roasts I’ve ever had. I couldn’t fault a single thing. Hats off to the chefs because it was incredible. The beef was outstanding and the vegetables were fresh and full of flavour. As for the front of house staff. They delivered our food and took our orders with big smiles, asked for any allergy’s, and were very welcoming. Could not fault this pub at all. We will definitely be back when we are next down. Highly recommend this local gem to everyone.

   Sunday roast- really lovely belly pork, roast potatoes need to be smaller and cruncher, nice selection of vegetables but Yorkshire pudding was stale. Needed to ask for more gravy, gravy was good though. We will try again in the future and hopefully we will have a different experience. In respect of the staff they are attentive and the food is served quickly

   Found this fab place whilst staying at nearby campsite. Went for drinks few times whilst going back to campsite. Owners so friendly and welcoming. Booked for dinner on " fish friday".... Great choice of specials and menu, portion sizes superb....fish freshly cooked to order and soooo tasty . Even did takeaway scampi for our dogs ! Will definitely visit again if in area. Thanks for making our cold January break worthwhile

   Had a lovely meal here whilst staying at the adjacent campsite. I believe the pub is under new management and they are taking time to adjust. The food was delicious and the portions were a good size. My only criticism (that was quickly addressed) was the slightly loud music that was distracting when trying to dine and have a conversation. Will definitely be back.

   Just finished a very very hearty carvery. All meat was cooked perfectly ( for the entire table). Nice veg mix... highly recommended... Staff are really welcoming and chef passionate that his roast hits the spot... 10/10.

   A lovely country pub, the food was delicious, although I'm not sure dyed buns on the 'Mendip muncher' burger are necessary - the food quality speaks for itself without the need for gimmicks. I was part of a large group and all agreed the food was very good, the staff were brilliant, very accommodating. My only gripe would be the two steep little steps leading to the toilets, fine if you're able bodied but if you have a physical impairment or disability they are a challenge. Overall I'd recommend this lovely place but I'd like to see it become fully accessible so everyone could enjoy it.
