It was such a welcoming atmosphere as soon as I came through the door, I was greeted and given options of either to order at the bar or I could go to my seat in order there. However, the lovely bar keep gave you a third option of ordering, and she would bring it to me! Also, I asked about food. They made accommodation for me because it wasn’t ready just yet, but they would definitely do it, which was so awesome. The only feedback I would give is there’s a miscommunication on the food I ordered. I just wanted a starter. I was brought the main meal but really my error and I should’ve asked but maybe the it should be clarified if you have two choices that is the starter or is it the main. just a little bit of otherwise it was very, very good and I would absolutely go back again!

Had a lovely couple of hours having a quiet drink with my partner. The staff and customers were really friendly. Its a nice cosy pub. They serve food but we didnt have any so can't comment. Would definitely go again and if/when I do we will have a meal.

We went to Piercefield to watch a live band that we are having at our wedding. The pub is lovely! All the locals were welcoming and the dog friendly atmosphere was really nice. Ive heard the food is also really nice so we will be back over and over to try the food and see more live music. Fun, friendly and relaxed vibe. The staff and management are all so helpful and kind too. The management were on the door to thank us for our custom and are such a lovely pair. They made everyone feel welcome and invited. We are excited to go back for food and see the band again next month!!

⭐ A Hidden Gem with Heart and Hospitality ⭐ From the moment I rang ahead, I was impressed—the young man I spoke to was incredibly polite and well-informed, setting the tone for a lovely visit. On arrival, we were greeted by a charming young lady at the bar who couldn’t have been more welcoming. She confirmed we were welcome to stay overnight in the car park free of charge, and even offered an electric hook-up (which we didn’t need, so I didn’t ask about the cost). The food was absolutely excellent—fresh, hearty, and full of flavour—and the drinks menu had something for everyone. To top it all off, there was an open mic session that evening, which was a real treat. Great atmosphere, great people, and a genuinely memorable night. Highly recommended for anyone looking for good food, good vibes, and a warm welcome.

We booked a table for dinner and also arranged to stay in the car park in our campervan so we could use the facilities until closing time. We were warmly welcomed, the food was delicious and the staff were really friendly and helpful. We visited on a Monday night so the pub was relatively quiet. Close to plenty of beautiful walks including Tintern Abbey, and very dog friendly too. Highly recommend for a meal or an overnight stop on the England/Wales boarder!

We are staying the night in our Motorhome, the host and the staff have been outstanding and the service was excellent. We have just enjoyed a wonderful evening meal of the mega mixed grill and the delicious southern fried chicken burger, both meals were excellent. We will certainly recommend to family and friends and will definitely be returning with the added bonus of the venue being dog friendly with their own dedicated area. Thank you

Brilliant pub food at a good price. Starter of Brie dippers were phenomenal and for mains we had Surf & Turf, fish & chips and scampi & chips. They all came out piping hot and very delicious/ fresh. Staff were accommodating and friendly, can’t wait to return.

If The Bull in Ambridge suddenly sprung into reality it would likely be very similar to The Piercefield. I half expected Charlene to be behind the bar. The service was good and the steak was cooked perfectly. They are improving the interior. I wish them well with their endeavours.
