We have been here twice for Sunday lunch now and both times have been really good. The staff are very friendly and the food is fairly priced. Definitely recommend

We visited for Sunday lunch as was amazed by the service and food… Mia and Callum were both very attentive to the whole restaurant, amazing hospitality. After our meals we watched the game at the bar and Will and Connor were both again, very positive. Lovely meal, great staff!
We have eaten at the George on a few occasions and have never been disappointed. Staff are always friendly and helpful and yesterday evening was no exception. My wife and I took my elderly mother for dinner, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming and staff as friendly as ever. I had a 10oz Sirloin steak and it was the best one I have eaten for a long time, succulent, melt in the mouth and so tasty. My wife and my mother had Rump steak and were both equally delighted too. As mentioned, we have dined here on a few occasions and we will look forward to the next visit.
I've come here a few times for Christmas and a date or two. Really nice inside, friendly staff and the food was phenomenal! I make the effort to come here when I'm around town. No complaints!
Booking App not very user friendly for menu reading and booking , George Hotel website didnt seem to show menu, until you had booked through 3rd party vendor .. Very helpful table service. Burger was very good , the Steak my family member had was great, from little share I had. The room we were in off to left as you enter was a little too cool and bright lights decor for me , but other than that, I'd be back to try a Steak next time I'm in Chepstow!
Only stopped by for some food, and it was incredible! Presentation and ingredients that looked and tasted Michelinesque but at prices that were nothing to grumble at. Service was outstanding and I will definitely be returning in the future.
Had Sunday lunch here. Got in at 12 to avoid the scramble later on and I highly recommend doing that. Fabulous value for money. Good choice, good portions, friendly and speedy service. Would choose this as a regular venue, no problem.
Lovely Sunday roast, we don't know the area so walked in, hopeful they would have a table. Staff worked it so they could accommodate us even though they were fully booked. The best roast beef and all the trimmings in a long time. Amazing value too. Will be making a trip back soon.
Fantastic friendly service, and delicious food for everyone - we arrived quite late and the staff were still very happy to serve us. We enjoyed the great vegan options they had to offer. We will definitely be back!
