Sian and the team hosted my parents 50th wedding anniversary for 24 family and friends. The food and service was excellent and enjoyed by all. Thank you!

Had a table booked for 15 people today 27th Nov 2025 and from starters to main meals they were exquisite. All meals were piping hot and tasted devine. No complaints from us at all. Compliments to the chef. The only downside was it was very cold inside the pub and although we had a radiator behind us there was no heat coming from it at all. The staff were very friendly and polite and service was vgood. A brilliant afternoon was had by all even though it was really cold inside.

Went here for the first time last Tuesday. The food, service and staff were fabulous. Sarah, our waitress was really attentive and friendly. My mother in law is a wheelchair user and her needs were well catered for. We were so impressed we’re going back for Sunday lunch today. Thank you xx

It was my first time visiting The Ponthir Inn, and I was pleasantly surprised! The food was absolutely beautiful, I had the lamb, which was so tender, full of flavour, and cooked to perfection. The carrots were lovely and sweet, and you could really tell that everything was prepared with care. I’ll definitely be coming back for a Sunday dinner! The staff were amazing very welcoming, attentive, and made me feel completely comfortable. The only small downside was that it felt a bit cold inside but overall it was a Lovely meal, great atmosphere and i will be coming again.

Got food from a food truck, it was nice, the beer was cold and the outdoor seating was plentiful. I visited during a Country Music day, everyone was dressed up in Stetsons and cowboy boots, so I must have looked well out of place in my cycling gear.

Long covid: Struggling three years with no taste or smell, I find it difficult to rate the restaurants I visit. However, sometimes there's a reprieve, and the gammon I had wasn't too bad. The only reason for the 4 star rating was the small pineapple ring placed on top of said meat. It just wasn't enough.

Lovely Sunday lunch with great thick slices of beef and plenty of vegetables. Puddings looked brought in, but enjoyable nonetheless. Lovely service.

Service very slow, waited 1 hour for meal. Pie was great, but gammon and egg over cooked.

Coming from London trying to find a place to have brunch on Bank holiday and thankfully they were open. It was cold and rainy as we could only sit outside with the cover but they turned on all the heaters to make sure everyone is warm. Very nice and friendly staff patiently explained the menu and dishes. The mains are big and fulfilling. We tried the welsh lamb liver and it was great! Also their steak was amazing. Overall very good experience, would recommend this place.
