Five star service received today 20/12/25 at the fragrance department, we were assisted by an employee called DARIUSZ ! As an perfume enthusiast and a collector I can tell you I have never been assisted (Internationally) by anybody who has so much knowledge and passion for fragrances/perfume for both genders as much as DARIUSZ. From the notes, longevity and even the history regarding all the different brands, it was so impressive and extremely enjoyable experience! We even went back to give him some chocolates to say thanks. During the holiday season shopping is such an horrific experience for us all, but people like DARIUSZ totally changed my experience! And also he was helping so many people, same passion same energy! My new favourite BOOTS store! THANK YOU DARIUSZ AND THANKS YOU BOOTS. Merry Christmas

I approached the Estée Lauder counter seeking assistance with foundation shade matching. A member of staff asked if I needed help, and when I confirmed, she abruptly walked away to an adjacent counter and offered no further assistance. The exact same dismissive experience occurred moments later at the MAC counter. I had arrived directly after a long, tiring trip and needed specific product guidance. Due to the complete lack of help and engagement, I left the store spending £0, despite being prepared to make a substantial purchase that day (easily in the three-figure range). The poor service resulted in a significant lost sale for your business. I urge you to address this lack of customer care at these concession stands.

Older lady at self service with short grey hair and glasses is rude and condescending. When checking out a couple of weeks ago my mascara wouldn’t scan, she replaced it with another one by scanning it and dropping on my pile of items. When I returned home I realised the mascara she gave me was open, dirty and very clearly used. I returned to the store and informed her she’d given me an old mascara. She lectured me 4 times during the transaction about me not taking a receipt, and questioned me on why I didn’t take one. When I told her I was stressed as she left self checkout to find the product there was a queue of around 20 people she then lectured me on not feeling pressured by the queue. She did not apologise at all and passive aggressively told me to hold on tight to my exchange receipt as I was leaving. Fingers crossed she retires soon.

Poor service from the pharmacy at this branch of Boots. Was told it would be a 30 minute wait for prescription, rearranged work commitments to accomodate collection and returned after 40 minutes to be told it wouldn't be ready for another 10/15 minutes. Such poor service from a "trustworthy" brand. No apology for the delay was really poor.

As always, managed to find what I needed. Staff always friendly. Update: Went to the Opticians and genuinely the most friendly people ever. Really knowledgeable and happy to help at all stages.

Big shop. Lots of choice. Self serve checkouts arent great though. Why can't we just have people on the checkouts??

Dealing with the pharmacy here is so stressful. Staff do a great job of pretending you’re not standing in front of them while they chat and ignore the queue. Every time without fail when I try to collect my repeat prescription there’s some kind of issue, either they can’t find it or something is missing.

I wanted to pop in to get something quick. It was 17.44 and I was told at the entry that I can't come in coz they're closing. The stated closing time there is 18.00 so I had a good 15 minutes, but I was not let in.

Horrendous. Been to four pharmacies for my mother's prescription today because none of them have it, and only found this out after waiting in a long queue. Was told this branch would definitely have my mum's medication by the lady in the Haddington branch and got here after being stuck in traffic to be told no. The woman behind the counter was really rude and gave no attention to the customers in the queue. A man appeared out of thin air from one of the aisles and was served first! Staff here need urgent lessons in basic manners and to have adequate supplies of simple medicines; doctors are giving prescriptions only for there to be none of said medication at the end of it. Atrocious experience and highly recommend you to avoid this branch.
