This practice took care of our cat until his death this week. We always felt he was in good hands, and this week when he had to be euthanised the staff were incredibly caring both to him and to me. They didn't rush the process and gave me plenty of time with him afterwards. I couldn't fault their care of our darling furbaby.

If you care about your pet please stay away from this practice. I took my eight year old dog in because she was leaking urine while she slept. The vet that seen her wanted to put her on a lifetime medication for incontinence without doing any investigation into what was causing this. When i challenged her on this she eventually agreed to do a urine test. I chased them up for days to get the results of this test. in the meantime i registered her with another vet, and on the first visit i had all the tests done within forty five minutes. Turned out the dog had chronic kidney failure and i had to have her put to sleep. When i phoned champion vets and asked for the £155 that i had paid them to be refunded i again got the runaround for days on end ( never did get the refund). I ill be contacting RCVS about the vet who diagnosed incontinence without any tests. It seems that the money comes before the wellbeing of the animals. This is a disgusting practice, and again i urge you to stay away from this vet if you care about your pet.

They'll recommend treatment that isn't needed, will overcharge you, won't tell you the charges in advance and don't follow consumer laws. When you query it, they'll try make out like you're abusing and don't care for your pet. They also charge a dispensation fee per medication rather than per prescription but will make sure to only give you 1 weeks medication at a time so they can charge you many more dispensation fees than if they just gave several weeks medication in one. Also charge a new consultation fee each visit despite the fact its a follow up appointment and no consultation has taken place on subsequent visits. Their vets also bad mouth their clients to the reception staff when they think they can't be heard (shocking behaviour for any type of company, let alone one in a small town where clients are likely to know one another - just as I knew the clients I heard them talking about). One of the most unprofessional companies I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with.

My wee boy cat sadly had to be put down, which in itself is deeply upsetting. That was on a Wednesday, I opted for the little fellow to be cremated and was made aware that the crematorium picked up on a Monday. On Tuesday I found out he was still at the vets, the Crematorium had picked up but the vets hadnt sent my cat. The little fellow should be off at his rest, I was obviously mortified. I really wanted this to be resolved as quickly as possible, and to be fair to Champion they dropped my little chap off at the crematorium on Wednesday a week after his death and as an apology are paying for his cremation. I have to say I wasnt expecting that and I have to thank them for it.

Never had much to do with the vets except annual checkups but then my dog had to get knee surgery. The service we recieved was amazing, especially as my dog is scared reactive, could not have had better service, now I have a happy wee pain free doggy

As always Champion Vets were excellent. They gave me a quick emergency appointment and were great to deal with. Unfortunately there wasn't a happy outcome but the vet nurse I dealt with was very considerate and gave me space to deal with the loss of a treasured pet.
