Lawrie Vets in Falkirk have always been great with us and our Guinea Pigs, especially during the most difficult of times. They have always been kind and supportive. 10/10

I am incredibly happy that I decided to switch to Falkirk practice instead of Cumbernauld's to treat my ferret by Gianluca. He is genuinely the only vet I have ever come across in the past five years who actually specialises in treating ferrets. With most exotic vets you often find that they know reptiles or birds, but they know very little about ferrets but Gianluca is truly experienced, knowledgeable and confident with them. Because of this, I only want him to treat my ferrets from now on. He is honestly the most empathetic, intelligent, kind and genuinely caring vet I have ever met. He always thinks about the animal first, but he also makes sure that I never waste money on unnecessary tests or pointless procedures. He explains what is actually needed and why and I only pay for what is genuinely required. He always asks for my opinion, works collaboratively with me, and actually respects me as the owner. He is frequently in contact with other specialists, including practitioners at universities, and he is never afraid to ask for a second opinion if needed. That level of humility combined with his knowledge is extremely rare in the veterinary field. He is currently treating my older male ferret who we suspect may have lymphoma and only has an eye injury, and Gianluca is doing absolutely everything to prolong his life expectancy and to maximise his comfort and wellbeing. I am extremely grateful for his skill, his compassion, and his approach. Hopefully my review gets passed on to the management as well. I cannot recommend Gianluca enough to other ferret parents. If you have ferrets and you are anywhere near Falkirk, go to Lawrie Vets and ask for Gianluca — you will not find better care, I guarantee you that

We can’t thank the whole team at Lawrie Vets enough for the incredible care they gave our dog Joey. From the moment he was diagnosed with diabetes, they guided us every step of the way with patience, compassion, and genuine love for him. They always took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure Joey was as comfortable as possible. The beautiful card they sent when our boy passed was such a thoughtful gesture, it meant a lot for me and my family, it showed us how much they cared. We’re so grateful for everything they did for Joey and for us. Thank you

Good vet and lovely reception staff but total extortion with prices. If purchasing medicine for your pet ask for a vet prescription do not purchase from here. My dog was prescribed Atopease - cost for two weeks £164.67. When checking online I can get the same medicine type with prescription for approximately £1.03 per tablet so was charged an extra £130 - total rip off. I checked with a member of staff and she confirmed price that was set. I’m all for businesses making a profit but this type of mark up is outrageous - no wonder more and more people can’t afford treatment for their beloved pets

If you have pet rats, Lawrie Vets is 100% the place to take them. Every time I've had to take one of mine I couldn't fault the service. I took one of my boys for an emergency appointment last year as he got poorly very quickly and the vet that I saw genuinely could not have been nicer. She was so professional and very gentle with her delivery of the news that it would be kindest to have him put to sleep. Afterwards I was given some of his fur and his pawprints at no extra cost which I thought was so kind of them. Most recently I had to take one of my girls to have a tumour removed and every step of the way I was kept informed of the costs and all the options. The surgery to remove it was fast and had no complications. They even recommended I bring the rest of my girls so that she wouldn't be apart from them too long and all day they took perfect care of them. They really treat each individual pet with respect and care, being mindful of any skittishness. I honestly cannot recommend them enough. The staff at the desk are also super lovely and have answered any and all questions with kindness and sorted out any problems I've had. Apologies for such a long review but I really am so impressed with the service here.

We sadly had to put both our lovely boys to sleep (Lhasa Apso). They were 15 and 14 and were always together and both were an important part of the family which was the most difficult thing we have had to do in our lifetime. I messaged the reception and they got me an appointment as quickley as they could. ALL staff were great. The vet was very kind and patient and took time going through the process. It was a very hard visit for both of us but they made our visit as best as possible for us all and sent a lovely card with their condolences. Thanks for all your help.

Sadly had to put my down my bearded dragon. He was 17 so was a very important family member. I called and they got me an appointment within 2 hours. The office staff were great. The vet was very kind and patient. It was a hard visit but they made my visit as easy as possible.

Just got back from my first vet appointment for my cornsnake Koka who I actually just found out is a boy! The staff are so wonderful and kind and very obviously care about their patients. The vet who examined Koka, Laura Berenguer was just brilliant and gave me so much good advice on how to improve Koka's care further and put my mind at ease as the reason I brought him in was because he escaped last week and I wanted to make sure he hadn't hurt himself whilst out, he was carefully and gently examinined and deemed all healthy! It was quite the journey as it's one of the only exotic vets near my area, but it was totally worth it, I will absolutely be bringing Koka back here whenever needed, just a fantastic service!

Really impressed with the efficiency and professionalism.Lawrie's came recommended from a vet in Glasgow and we were pleased to have got such good help from Laura. Buddy the canary is now back to full strength and singing again.

It's a very efficient and experienced vet surgery. It's far from where we stay but happily drive through if I have concerns l. We have rabbits and their vets who treat exotic animals are absolutely superb. Rabbits are sensitive wee creatures, they gave us so much information about how to care for them in the best possible way.
