I stumbled upon this shop during my stroll in the city. A very very pleasant encounter. The shop has a wide wide collection of Scottish gemstones and marbles and such! So I really think you should visit if you are looking for a high quality souvenir or just good gifts in general. They do have a rather impressive collection of other gemstones as well. The jewelry are well designed and made with care. The fact that all the materials are ethically sourced made up greatly to the experience. The pricing is reasonable and not overly expensive given the quality of the things. The staff was very friendly and helpful. She was really great helping me choose which piece should be within my rather limited budget. Not to mention very patience given how annoying I was! Hahahahaha I purchased a beautiful chalcedony necklace and a few pieces of scottish marbles. The little info cards I was given along with the purchase are so adorable and interesting to read. Very satisfied with my experience and will come back to the shop if I ever was in town again. Would still strongly recommended to check out their website even if you never plan to visit the city.

Wonderful designs here! There was one other customer and I heard how patient and helpful the shoplady was with the other customer. I had the timeto narrow down my selection and was told they'd resize the ring to my finger if the fit wasn't quite right. Fortunately for me, it fit prefect! Got a silver chalcedony stone ring with a lattice section. Couldn't be happier!

I adore the Scottish amethyst ring I bought here. It's high-quality, ethical and a unique design. The shopkeeper was lovely, knowledgeable and very helpful with helping me find just the right ring - I will be back! Don't waste your time with any other Royal Mile jewel shop - these guys are the real deal and the rainbow of Scottish (and international!) gems is eye-popping

SHINING EXAMPLE OF GREAT SHOP. Puns aside...this shop is a gem in itself! Walking in, it's like entering an Imaginarium - it's stuffed full of shiny, semi-precious stones and other natural objet d'art you just want to touch. And who knew so much of it can be sourced in Scotland? Two Skies is also one of only a few retail outlets to sell jewellery pieces containing real Scottish gold, amongst the highest valued gold on the planet due to it's scarcity. It's like finding a hen... that had teeth...that were gold! The owner, the charismatic Adam McIntosh is a renowned powerhouse of knowledge in all things gemstoney, having travelled the world in their pursuit. He's also ahead of the game in jewellery design. When I met him he was proudly showing his latest designs, including beautiful necklaces and earrings with settings containing vintage porcelain, repurposed from fragments of plates from a bygone age. The necklace we bought had an asymmetrical silver mount with porcelain depicting doves, and came with a 925 silver chain. The range was SO different from anything my wife or I had seen before. The price for something so cleverly different was excellent too. ( On recommendation our friends have started buying). Two Skies is well worth a look-see.

Such a unique little shop, so many beautiful jewelry pieces and very friendly and informative staff. I bought a necklace for my grandmother here and I saw a small piece of English turquoise that I wish I would have bought for myself but passed on it initially and the shop was unfortunately closed when we went back later the next day. If I'm ever in Edinburgh again I'll definitely go back here and buy myself something.

It's a small shop, but it is just bursting with all sorts of gems; cut, polished, rough, and more. Fossils are sold as well. The staff is very friendly and ready to answer questions about the stones and jewelry. The prices are appropriately balanced. Some pieces are even rather cheap compared to other vendors but without any reduction in quality, which is fantastic. TL;DR, Best gem shop in Edinburgh, maybe in all of Scotland.
