We didn’t even get to see the inside of the shop unfortunately. We had a long journey to the area and when parking nearby, close to the cemetery, we were immediately harassed by an Englishman and his child. Not even 1min after parking (in a parking lot, off the road and out of anyone’s way), he came up banging on our door and was extremely rude to myself and my pregnant wife, telling us we couldn’t park there as we would be attracting other tourists in large vehicles. He additionally lied and said there were signs to say we couldn’t be there. Not a welcoming neighbourhood or local experience. He made sure to make us feel terrible and made it clear we weren’t welcome in the area to visit the sights or nearby shops.

We were on our way to the Old Man of Storr and spontaneously made the small diversions to Gareth's workshop. We all had time to look at the filigree celtic jewellery and my wife found an amazingly beautiful silver ring with an amethyst - and she rarely finds jewellery that she likes. Gareth was very helpful in finding the right size and fitting. Thanks a lot - the ring was well the journey worth!

Well worth the drive. Very knowledgeable and Gareth was very helpful. I was able to order a ring for my 25th wedding anniversary. I know it will be perfect since they clearly take pride in their work.

Garth and Gareth are amazing artists and the kindest humans in Scotland. We came looking for an engagement ring and left with two new friends and two gorgeous rings. Beautiful jewelry and a great experience on our vacation! Thanks a ton guys, we will see you around!!

I bought several items from Garth over the last 20 years. We visited his shop/residence and stayed in his self catering apartment while visiting Skye. Words aren’t adequate to express the pleasure of our visit. Their hospitality and our experience were truly unique. Jim & Michele Mendelsohn, Worthington MA USA

This place is magical. My boyfriend and I were hiking in the Isle of Skye this past August and stumbled upon the Duncan House. Greeted by their sweet little pup and his big brother Chewie, we knew we found somewhere special. Garath and Valerie came out to chat and gave us a tour of the stunning showroom. We took one look at his work and decided to buy our wedding rings. The craftsmanship is exquisite. We absolutely love our rings and the time we spent leaning about their family and their work. Thank you Garath and Valerie for making our trip extra special!

My family and I were able to visit the Duncan House and see their impressive celtic jewelry. We loved meeting the family and their dogs. (made me want a scottish deerhound lol) If your in the market to get a true handmade piece, wedding rings or even an heirloom-to-be, this is a great place to start. The pieces are not in-expensive, but it should be expected from handmade craftsmanship that is hard to find anymore.

Had such a great time meeting the owners and makers of all the beautiful jewelry and hearing how it got started. Everything was absolutely beautiful and I understand why its expensive especially when you see the hard work and time it takes to do it.

I researched my choice of wedding ring for a long time before coming across Duncan House. The service and advice from Garth was great and after a bit of thought I decided to order a ring. I work with my hands and needed something resilient so went for the 9kt gold. It came after a few weeks and its actually incredible. So intricate and great quality. Couldn't recommend enough.
