“Many years ago, I met the owner of The Ringmaker, John Gilchrist, and he subsequently made a bespoke ring for my wife. He said that at any time in the future a stone could be mounted in the ring. A couple of years ago, a diamond was indeed mounted in the ring. Valerie and other members of John's team could not have more helpful in advising and designing the upgrade. Recently we again contacted the team to commission a replica ring, this time with an Aquamarine stone for our daughter's special birthday. Once again, the service was impeccable. Despite the short timeline involved from our first contact, they assured us they could create our bespoke rings in time and managed to do so, taking the photos of our initial ideas and turning them into a reality within just a couple of months. This included doing some last-minute adjustments to sizing before they left to go off on holiday themselves. Planning a wedding can be a very stressful event whilst juggling suppliers and timelines, and although we we were pretty panicked at times due other suppliers not being on the ball, the team here made sure everything ran like clockwork and the end result was optimal. I needed my grandfather’s signet ring resized to be able to wear it and this was done so well you can’t see where the work was done. Sadly I scuffed the ring off of something and they took it back in and polished it all up nicely and again, you can’t see where the damage was. Thank you!”

The studio space is gorgeous and the people are some of the warmest and most welcoming you could ever hope to meet. I had absolutely zero experience and through the tutor's excellent tuition and patience I managed to come away with a lovely silver ring I have worn every day since!
