“Can't beat a private tour. First time booking with ToursByLocals. Glad I found Matthew! Weeks before our arrival, we were back and forth selecting the best way to spend our day together for my family of 5 adults from Canada of Clan Cameron of Erracht heritage. Matthew was knowledgeable, funny and accommodating!! Shortly after meeting us, we had an excellent banter. We all laughed a lot. Despite a mix of sun and quite miserable wind, rain and hail, Matthew made our day touring the Inverness area perfect!!”
“Such a lovely little gem of a shop! They stock everything from beautifully curated greeting cards and homeware to thoughtful gifts – perfect for treating yourself or picking up something special for someone else. I especially love the vintage section downstairs, which adds a unique charm and makes browsing even more fun. The whole place has a warm, welcoming vibe, and I always leave feeling inspired. Highly recommend a visit!”
“Myself my mother and brother all use dark ink for our tattoos and have done for a number of years now. This is due to the consistently amazing work that is done here and the way the all the staff treat us.Always been made to feel welcome and had a good laugh always helps get through the pain of getting tatt’d”
“An absolutely stunning campus to visit! The University of Glasgow feels like stepping into history – the architecture is breathtaking, with its Gothic towers and beautiful cloisters that look like something out of Harry Potter. The Hunterian Museum and the university grounds are free to explore, and the views over the city are amazing. Even if you’re not a student, it’s a must-see attraction when visiting Glasgow. If you're visiting with kids, like I did, it's definitely an inspiration for them.”
“Had a fantastic weekend stay with my husband at the Radisson Red Glasgow. We went over for the Skyline weekend and the hotel did not disappoint. The service is second to none from easy check-in, to the restaurant and bar staff at the amazing roof top Sky bar. The rooms are spacious and cosy with a great breakfast in the morning. The restaurant provides great lunch and dinner options and I would personally recommend the simply red or Red Devil pizzas! The hotel has a great vibe with classy decor throughout. The Sky bar is a beautiful bar with amazing views of Glasgow. The skyline events are brilliant with great music from world class DJs and the Sky Bar providing amazing atmosphere. If anyone looking a great place to stay I would definitely recommend here.”
“Our recent stay at Native Glasgow was fabulous! The staff were very accommodating with storing our luggage as we arrived very early in the morning. The suite was very comfortable and very clean. We liked that there was a small kitchenette and a large shower! The hotel is so conveniently located. We took the bus to/from Glasgow airport and it is a 2 minute walk from the hotel, as is the Hop On/Hop Off bus stop! Buchanan Street is also just around the corner. There is a nice bar in the basement and the neighborouring restaurants/bars were great also. We would definitely stay here again when in Glasgow!”
“We enjoyed an afternoon tea at the Castle. It has a "Highland Castle" feeling inside and outside, despite being 10 mins from city centre! The Christmas and overall decor were very cosy, and the service was excellent too!”
“Having never been before I really enjoyed the experience. The centre was easy to find and surrounded with plentiful free street parking. Inside the attractive building was well laid out, and had a very nice bar restaurant with reasonably priced drinks. The auditorium was comfortable and cosy. The real stand-outs for me however, were the staff, who were all very helpful and friendly. Overall, a great wee theatre.”
“First visit to the Maldron or the group and was impressed by the experience. Staff were all first class, communicative and industrious with a pleasant demeanour. Quality of finishings was excellent, very comfortable bed and very clean room and public areas. Breakfast selection was as expected, was regularly refreshed and plenty available. Look forward to my next visit.”
“We got married here last Saturday and what a day it was. From start to finish the team at this hotel have been super attentive and helpful. A massive thanks to Sarah-Jayne and Louize for being with us every step of the wedding planning process. The general manager Adrian (AKA Hype Boss) is a credit to this venue! He was on the ball, super organised and able to make our wedding run the way we had dreamed it. Scott the guests have not stopped talking about how amazing the meal was. Thank you to all the staff at the Eglinton Arms hotel.”
“I stayed as a solo business traveller on the 22 - 24 October and was very pleasantly surprised by how friendly the young staff were from the reception desk to the bar and restaurant. They went above and beyond to have a chat, hold my bags, direct me to bus stops. etc. They were genuinely warm and welcoming and made it feel like a four star experience. The bar and lounge area are very comfortable for a business traveller looking to do some work while having a drink or bite to eat. It's a cosy environment and the veggie burger was quite tasty and generous. While the rooms are a bit basic, the bathrooms are well maintained and the friendliness of the staff and downstairs bar area more than made up for that. I would definitely return again - thanks all.”
“I was astonished by the GMRC. Glasgow stores more than it exhibits. An artist friend of mine was keen to view Ken Currie paintings not on display at the People's Palace. We viewed them on a general tour. However, if we had booked far enough in advance, we were told we could view almost anything we wished to. But, as we booked on the day, we saw several unexpected exhibits Not on exhibition. Eg a zoo's worth of stuffed animals, armour, William Burrell's home's wall fittings, and much more. All in 1 hour. The guides were fab. An additional Glasgow museum could easily be founded exhibiting the items in store. A fine, splendid afternoon.”
“Great little intimate venue. Highly recommend Ice Box Cabaret. Always a lovely atmosphere and support for acts is phenomenal.”
“The teachers are all native speakers and are very good teachers. They make the classes interesting. There are some courses which are not just language courses, for example one which I did about France's overseas territories - very interesting but also very good for my language skills.”
“Great little theatre venue. Good cafe with loads of yray bakes. Clear view of stage wherever you sit and good acoustics. Very friendly and helpful staff.”
“Great place to stay. Great staff here and in adjacent pub restaurant, looked after us really well.”
“From the moment we arrived and were greeted by the super, helpful receptionist we knew our overnight stay was going to be great. The room was spotlessly clean and above expectations. Our evening meal was excellent with friendly staff and a good selection on the menu. The breakfast menu was faultless and Luke, Sharon and Veronica looked after us and were a pleasure to meet. Such a convenient location for the S.E.C. and a thoroughly enjoyable visit. Thanks to you all.”
“Ah, bless! We got food poisoning and had to find a place with very short notice. Not only did they accommodate us, but were very good with our situation, allowed us to check in early and helped us get back on our legs after being very sick. Location is convenient too, a nice restaurant right in front of the Inn, Macdonald's next to that and three supermarkets on the corner. We even found a dry-cleaner's close by.”
“I got to check in early to a beautiful, breezy room (as I like it). The bar and restaurant staff are lovely and very good at communicating any issues/complications. I sincerely appreciate Sophie's determination to get me a meal that accommodated my dietary needs - she did an amazing job waiting on our group. Thank you, Sophie, for being so understanding and so kind!”
“This hotel is attached to the train station and centrally located in downtown Glasgow. It is a very elegant hotel with all the expected amenities. Breakfast buffet was well stocked and delicious with attentive wait staff. Location is great for restaurants, stores, etc and walking around was easy. Highly recommended.”
“5 stars again. Doubletree by hilton. Our 3 stay here and you dont disappoint from the reception staff to the rooms. Outstanding. It was a birthday trip for 16 year old daughter, we booked the hotel to go see a show. What a fantastic birthday she had, the balloon, banner and chocolates request was dealt with effectively and quickly. We checked in early. Had to pay but didnt mind. Our room was not ready, we went shopping and came back luggage and decorations where all in room in place for us returning. We will definitely be booking for our next trip. Thank you again .”
“The best Travelodge I’ve stayed in. Recent refurb makes it feel brand new (though a bit more obvious they haven’t replaced the carpets). Is still a travelodge but a very good one. You’ve probably got to drive if you want a selection of food places or shops”
“This was a trip to see the Christmas Markets in Glasgow and Edinburgh to include my wife, myself and our dog. We were all made most welcome. The duty staff were very helpful and answered our varied questions politely and if they didn't know the answer they found out for us. The room was super and the breakfast very good for the price. The hotel was superbly situated for the Christmas activities and the station for our trip to Edinburgh. I suspect that parking could be a problem but we have a blue badge which meant we could park outside for as long as we were there.”
“This was a great apartment right in the heart of Glasgow. We were literally on the block with George Square and a block from Queen Street Station. The apartment had everything we needed, including a washing machine so we could launder our clothes. We were able to prepare dinner both nights while there and that made for an extra cozy treat. All and all, a superb stay!”
“Great dentist, flexible about getting appointments at times that work for you and friendly staff would definitely recommend.”
“Excellent luxury apartment in a great location with stunning views would highly recommend to anyone for visiting a great city !!”
“Lovely apartment in a really nice spot in Glasgow's west end, staff were very good also. Highly recommended. Thanks again”
“Easy in and out. Park over the road if you are doing a delivery and check in with them. There are parking bays over there and space to turn an artic round further down the road.”
“Dropped in to grab something in person I'm so glad we did. The store was a tranquil little oasis from the horrific Christmas madness even with quite a few customers in. I got to see a bunch of clothes that I thought I didn't like on the website but that I apparently loved in person. The sales associate we spoke to, Alex, was fantastic: helpful, professional, knowledgeable and had a super-human level of calm considering the chaos outside. Honestly, the visit singlehandedly increased the chances of me shopping at Reiss.”
