We arrived at Cameron House for 3 nights' stay. Our first night, tonight, we were very glad that we selected La Vista. Our server, Ellie, was excellent. Very attentive, very friendly and congenial. The manager on duty also checked on us a few times. She appeared to be making sure that everyone was delighted with their meal. The rosemary garlic foccacia bread was excellent; the mussels were some of the best we've ever had. My husband enjoyed the carbonara penne pasta dish with green beans and I enjoyed the chicken milanese. Wine choice, a Valpolicella was reasonably priced and good. We rounded up our service charge as we felt the whole experience was excellent.

Visited La Vista on a Friday evening in October with a 7pm booking. It was busy but not full. The atmosphere was relaxing and not too noisy. We opted for main courses and a dessert so we had the rump steak with koffman fries, fish & chips, a pistachio cannolli and tartufo. Everything was superb. My steak was perfectly cooked medium rare, my husband said his fish had a light and crisp batter. We don't usually have dessert but we both enjoyed our wee treat. I also had a Flight cocktail which was lovely if, like me, you enjoy cocktails with a more bitter edge rather than fruity. If you like a Negroni or an Old fashioned you'll like this. I thought the prices were very reasonable especially considering I had the rump steak. Two mains, two desserts, a side of broccoli, two coffees and a cocktail came to just over £100. Beware they add a 12.5% service tip which is the only reason I deducted 1* for service. Not the fault of the servers but I object to tips being automatically added. If service is good, and it was excellent on this occasion, we always tip but I don't appreciate it being added to the bill.

Nice location and view over the loch. Staff were great Food was fair, got soup and sandwich ~ soup was lovely, sandwich was more bread than filling way more. Also got mussels with spicy sauce, it was nice... one muscle was still closed.

We had a lovely family meal here - I had the fig and Parma ham pizza and my husband had chicken Milanese. Our boys children’s 3 course meal also very substantial and enjoyed by them. House wine very nice. Saturday had live music in the early evening / late afternoon which was very enjoyable

lovely food! one star deducted for service cuz the servers didn’t seem very focused - for example, we asked for “cheese on the side” on our pasta but this did not seem to be conveyed to the kitchen. Overall, great food and good vibe

If there were a picture in the dictionary next to "excellent service" you would see a picture of this place with the manager Leigh in the foreground. A waiter saw I was looking at basketball and decided to strike up a conversation, nothing invasive just enough to feel welcome. On top of this the food is lovely. And as you can see from the pictures, the theme is Carried throughout, with the marina in the background and subtle hints that you are indeed in "the boat house". Strongly recommend.

The location is wonderful, menu is also very nice, not as expensive as the other restaurants of cameron house. Always try to book in advance the views from the restaurants are amazing. The Staff is also very nice, there are couple of main car parks of Cameron house in the beginning, you don't need to park there, there is dedicated parking right besides the boat house.

Lunch at the Boat House, perfect after a champagne cruise (highly recommended). Staff were lovely and coped well with a dietary restriction. We ordered a couple of starters and mains as well as drinks. Came to £104 including service for three. Food was very slow to come out despite the restaurant being nowhere near full. The pigeon breast starter was cold and tough. Tenpora veg was delicious but the pizza was really nothing to rave about. Come for the views of the loch and lovely atmosphere. Staff very friendly and attentive but really let down by the food
