The man bun wearing front staff could not be less engaging with his crossed arms answering my question, I clearly inconvenienced his leisurely sit down. Does Edinburgh Leisure offer customer skill training? Love the venue though, and more mature staff members are brilliant.
This is a beautiful old swimming pool and the sauna and steam room are good too. But what really lets it down is its very short opening hours on the weekend (closes at 15:00) and how expensive it is (£9.98 for swim and use of sauna/steam room, without a membership). I had an Edinburgh Leisure membership, which brings the price per visit down, but I cancelled it as I could never use it when I wanted.
I always buy a weekly visitors pass to swim at Glenogle when I visit Edinburgh. Fantastic Victorian pool with sauna and steam room, run by friendly and helpful staff. A hidden gem that I would highly recommend!
Lucky find as was hoping to swim while visiting the city. Fortunately in the morning the pool was not too busy. Added the sauna option. Easy to change in cabins adjacent to the pool. The Victorian pool hall was a treat to swim in given the many windows allowing light to pour in.
Excellent facilities for all ages and wonderful swimming club my granddaughter loves it .very supporting volunteers at club who do a great job with all ages of children and very enthusiastic.
Friendly staff & very clean swimming pool. I recommend checking a timetable before going as they offer both casual and line swimming. There are lockers for everyone (£1 needed), private showers, and very good hairdryers. Edinburgh Leisure | Swimming Pool
great pool and great location in a beautiful building. the poolside is very clean and the pool itself is usually well taken care. they don't use chlorine, so the water isn't perfectly clear, but clean nonetheless. Staff are really friendly and great.

Every week day the pool opens at 7am and has laned swimming for different abilities, so is a brilliant way to start your work day. Sessions need to be booked in advance, but it never feels crowded. It has a steam room and sauna at the end of the pool, so it's a lovely way to relax after your swim.
