We came all the way from Portsmouth and we really had a great time. After eating egusi and poundo yam, we decided to get a takeaway (jollof rice) and it is 10/10. I wish you guys have a branch in Portsmouth. The portion is massive and the food is delicious.

I enjoyed every meal. It felt like proper home meal. The seafood definitely kept me busy and I totally loved it

We had a lovely meal here, the food didn't disappoint. I think it was understaffed, but asides that, everything else was good.

Food was great, the atmosphere was good but I think there should be someone on standby to take orders from guests and someone at the till.

I used to love this place the food is great but I’ve seen the portion sizes decrease over time whilst the prices go up and it’s unfortunately deterring me from the place. I thought I’d give it one more try today and it was even worse. £10 and the tub is half empty and the chicken doesn’t even complete Disappointed.

Nice atmosphere. Unfortunately, whilst I was having a conversation with my partner, a member of staff eavesdropped on my conversation in my native language - we were simply 2 adults conversing. The member of staff eavesdropped, took a comment made completely out of context and then reported this comment to her manager, rudely assuming that we were talking about uwagboe foods, when in fact we came from wales to Edinburgh to explore. We don’t know her, she doesn’t know us. Her attitude was APPALLING. Bad customer relations skills, she wasn’t welcoming at all. We weren’t rude to her in the first place, and rather than apologising when we clarified that our conversation was not about her. We ordered food, but due to the poor attitude shown, we lost our appetite and didn’t feel free to talk

I have used Uwagboe foods, and I have found the service to be excellent. The items required are always available, and are reasonably priced. In addition, when I have had to use the delivery part of the service, I have found them to be transparent and also punctual. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for African food.
