   Never bought anything from here and never would but have heard a lot of horrible things. Just the other day I was in the pets at home store when a young woman came in with a gerbil in a box from your shop. She had just bought it from Fergusons and was going around offering it to customers because she "couldn't look after it". She had taken it because of the horrible conditions it was being kept in but she was allowed to purchase it when she had no cage, nothing for the animal, no transport home and no intention of keeping it. A member of staff at Pets at home approached her and helped her out. But whoever sold her this animal should not be able to sell animals, it just shows the lack of care for the wellbeing of the animals you sell.

   We came here today to buy our new member of the family today, our wee budgie (no name yet). The store is in great condition and the animals are all in great condition too. Very good value for the wee bits we still needed to get. The woman who helped us today was absolutely fantastic, went above and beyond for us to make sure the wee budgie was well looked after and had everything she needed. Thank you very very much.

   Bought a hamster from them as she was so stressed out and stuffed in a small tiny dirty cage. We bought her as a male but later found out she was female, phoned to ask the shop and they didn’t seem fussed that she was in a tank with other males. Peaches became visibly unwell and upon veterinary examination we were told she had been unwell for a while. (Dating back to before we had her) she received care then in November became unresponsive and unwell, she then had a seizure and passed away in my hands. I would not recommend anyone buys from this store, you’d be safer buying from pets at home and that says a lot. The other tanks, fish tanks birds etc were all dirty and the animals had no stimulation they needed. Too many animals not enough space and expensive too! I’m glad we rescued peaches when we did and gave her some sense of life. Please do not buy from here

   Dont buy from here! Should be shut down! Conditions are appalling. I bought a dwarf hamster 2 months ago. He had a stroke last week and died on Saturday. 5 months old, apparently at this point. I didn't go in to buy a hamster. We went in to rescue a parrot my partner had seen the day before. He was in a cage, not even big enough to stretch his wings! But thankfully, someone had taken him home. Then we saw the hamster. Nothing but a bed in his small glass tank for 3 months! I had to take him home to save him. He looked like he was having a nervous breakdown. No wonder he died so young! Heartbreaking. They should be ashamed.

   Not very good in keeping animals in good condition, they are very unsanitary and the way theres birds out of the shop is incredibly disgusting as some kids can put their dirty hands and fingers in the cage, and they say dont whistle to the birds, i dont understand why, its not like its gonna automatically stop them from being learnt to speak

   Overcrowded, dirty and bare bird cages. Finches with nails the length of their entire leg. Dead fish floating in the filthy tanks. Some guy who works there walking around asking kids if they want "a doin" for touching the glass once. Poor mistreated animals deserve so much better.

   Have known about this shop since a child ...I'm now 47 and went to buy 3 guppies and an algae eater, with in a month all fish died and tank was infested with Ich ...never again will just go to pets at home, least they put do it right.

   Nice little budgies, immaculately clean cages, they are confident, healthy and a good age for selling on the one I bought is 11 weeks old and a feisty little fella. Please don't leave bad reviews for this lady remember baby budgies can have health problems when molting as young as 3 months, the lady in the shop knows her stuff!! I recommend that you take the little fella to an avian vet if he is listless please do a lot of research and you and your little friend will be happy together, good luck and have fun. Karen
