   We have used Mctaggart vet for years they have always been very helpful and supportive with the care of all our animals. We had to put our beloved Dog Lexie to sleep today and we were supported through out the full process. Lexie went to sleep and was looked after with respect. I would highly recommend this veterinary surgery.

   There are serious issues with incompetent and uncaring reception staff. I telephoned multiple times over four days trying to get an emergency appointment and register my pet. Various receptionists partially completed registration and said I could not make appointment for elderly dog with vomiting and diarrhoea until registration was complete. I had records transferred from previous vet but still they would not complete registration saying records had to be reviewed first. I explained dog was suffering but still they delayed. Matters we’re made worse by my old vet having deregistered pet as they say new registration only takes a few minutes. After five days of repeated calls to mcTaggarts and requests for appointment I took dog to emergency out of hours as her condition has deteriorated. She died on Saturday evening and mcTaggarts finally left me a message on Monday saying I could now book in for an appointment- a whole week after my first call to them.

   Had to take my dog buddy for a foot problem, Shona checked out his paw and have us medication for him, and wasn't as expensive as I thought it would be, all the staff are amazing and so friendly

   Absolutely love this vets. The staff are fantastic with my 3 pets, I wouldn't go anywhere else. They are very compassionate and treat my pets as if they were there own. I highly recommend this vets. Pets don't normally like going to the vets. But my 3 pets love going to the vets, they know they are going there to get better if they are unwell. Thanks to all the staff and of course Shona the vet for the great treatment my pets receive every visit.
