   I went today with a broken watch strap - retaining pins missing. The staff replaced the pins so I had a functional watch, and didn't charge a penny. Note: the shop has a pleasing range of small gifts as well as jewellery. I'll be back! It's so nice to get a service free these days.

   I have always received the best & friendliest service in McKellars. Today i bought a baby bank. The staff allowed the time to open the bank so that i could put some money in it, before carefully wrapping the gift with a pink bow! All that time and care for such a small sale is truely appreciated!

   Sadly and it is with regret that I can only give this business one star. I contacted them to see if they could make something fit for me. Only to be told, by a very nice lady. I don't think the workshop would do it. How sad surely the only people who could say they couldn't do it would have been someone from their workshop. I would have thought a better approach would have been bring it in and we can look at it and see if we can do anything. Oh well one potential customer lost.
