My grandsons are having swimming lessons during the summer . Ages 6and 4 . The instructors are all very nice and the boys are loving it ! Thank you to all at the Dollan pool !
This is an old school swimming pool, with plenty lockers and changing rooms. The admission price is not too steep and the price for parking is more than reasonable, too. Altogether, if you're after a leisurely swim (in a very warm water!) then this place is really good for it. Also, a warm water is very good for children. Recommend.
I’m looking to start a gym somewhere and ideally would love to have access to a swimming pool and a sauna/ steam room to get my moneys worth… however, after reading reviews and actually popping down to see the facility, it’s not worth the membership price. The staff just stand and talk when there’s unlimited amounts of work to do and things to clean/ maintain. It’s a friendly enough environment when speaking to people and staff but it needs refreshed I.e lockers, cafe, showers and basic maintenance.
This is a great pool for serious swimmers being a full 50m long and they often have lane ropes out to stop anyone getting in your way. There a couple of gyms onsite too along with a sauna and steam room. The only downside is it's not much of a fun pool for kids although as the floor can be raised or lowered they often make one end very shallow so it's suitable for young children. Edit - The moving floor was broken but is now fixed with the timetable for the pool back to normal. I've added a photo of it here.
Learned to swim there in the waaaaay back. Not been so keen on the new style pools and the flume. I may be old fashioned when I say I lived the old pool. It was a serious swim not a fun pool. Wish I knew it was completely safe and risk free from COVID but even the staff aren't sure... shame. I really miss going for a swim.
I have been a member for many years l use the pool 5 times a week it's a nice Atmosphere always feel the benefit after my swim the Staff are very friendly and helpful l would highly recommend the Dollan Aqua Centre You won't be disappointed.
Absolutely awful. The gym facilities are outdated. The hygiene from other customers is appalling and disregarded by staff . Wiping down machines before and after use is not mandatory it seems for every one . The health suite is not open. Due to needing parts . And expected to travel elsewhere for the experience of a health suite. The air conditioning keeps breaking down or never on .the web page needs updating also
Nice facility with very friendly and helpful staff that took pitty on an out of towner and provided guidance (what are the little blue booties for?) and even a free locker.
We were at the skatepark at the back of the building not the actual swimming. Good free skatepark wee bit for parking at the side and lights and camera's watching over. Wasn't too busy due to weather but daughter and friend are only learning so they prefer it that way. Need to find info on more of the free concrete skateparks as I can't find them on google maps. Handy wee place for free laughs and injuries.
