Came to pick some clothes from Sports Direct and Mountain Warehouse. We parked to charge the car, but of the 4 chargers, just 2 connectors were working. One said do not use and the one I used didn't charge. Shops the standard. Lovely Loch Lomond views
Beautiful place! Long walks either side, during the spring/summer lots of water activites. During the end of summer is the food festival and near Christmas, is the Markets! Lots of parking, both coach and cars. Worth visiting to see the Ben in the distance.
There's a shopping mall at the shore with shops and restaurants. There's a mini golf and an aquarium. There's also kayaking and boat cruises. Lovely view from the shore
Beautiful Scenery and Relaxing Atmosphere Visited Loch Lomond Shores recently and really enjoyed the natural beauty of the place. The views of the loch are stunning, especially on a clear day — perfect for a peaceful walk along the water. There’s a good mix of shops, cafés, and small attractions, which makes it a nice spot for families or a quiet day out. Parking was convenient, though a bit busy during peak hours. Some areas could do with a bit more maintenance, but overall the place felt welcoming and safe. A lovely spot to unwind and take in some classic Scottish scenery — just don't expect a full outdoor adventure unless you head further into the national park.

The SEA LIFE Aquarium is a hit with kids, though it’s a bit small for the price. Seasonal markets and events add a lively touch, though it can get crowded during busy times. Parking is convenient but fills up fast, especially on weekends. A bonus is the availability of EV charging stations. Overall, it’s a fantastic, family-friendly destination offering a little bit of everything. Great concept & location but its a shame that the retail units weren't occupied by local artisan producers, rather than run of the mill high street shops. Sealife Aquarium is located here so might be a good rainy day option for families. There are 2 eateries, one cafe and the other a restaurant/grill with some outdoor seating. Some water sports are available and of course lovely walks around the Loch if you venture further northwards.
What a view, we didn't have too long here, enough to have a walk around. Unfortunately they don't do boat trips around the Loch from here anymore, they are a 10 minute walk up the road, they have a sea life centre, no idea of price, they have a bird of prey centre on site, which is £9 adult to go in, and flying displays at various times. They have a small parade of shops on ground level, Frazers which had a reasonably priced cafe , they have a health food shop, & shoe & school uniform , & a couple of gift shops. We didn't go upstairs but there is a nail salon & a Jurassic Grill restaurant, the only blot on the landscape is a hotel/spa which has unfortunately closed down about 3 years ago it would make a lovely place to stay with wonderful views.
A very beautiful place to visit. My family and I went canoeing. Theres a place you can hire kayaks, canoes, paddling boats etc. And it isn't very expensive. For the 5 of us we paid £30 for a canoe for half an hour The shores are very lively. They have a market nearby, there is free parking on site. The food from the food trucks was amazing.
It is beautifull, tranquil, at least at this time of year it is. I got there by train, and follow the path along the river. It takes you for a walk around, Balloch Castle & there's also a wall garden. At this time of year all is bare, but there is not many people. Coming down from the Castle, you can see the Loch & just wander along the shores. It's not crowded at the moment, I'm sure in the summer, it must be a lot more people there.
Beautiful scenery here and it's what I would personally suggest going for rather than the shopping experience (it's just shops that you can find anywhere), with some nice short trails ideal for a quick morning out walking.
