Well located hotel near St Mary Redcliffe church and city centre. Main train station, Temple Meads also a short walk away. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The hotel decor is a little dated. Breakfast was very good, with quality bacon and sausages.

The hotel itself was great; lovely clean room, comfy beds, great breakfast, attentive waiting staff at the restaurant. The let down was the spa... All jacuzzis were lukewarm, one of the saunas was also not working properly and barely warm. The spa receptionist wasn't very welcoming and didnt offer us bathrobes or towels so we had to ask. We also booked for a 25 minute massage but only received barely 15 minutes of actual massage time.

Excellent stay at the Double Tree in Bristol. A five minute walk from the train station and a further five minutes into the city was perfect. Check in was slick, room was well equipped, clean and spacious. The onsite gym was good, plenty of space and variety of equipment. Breakfast was lovely with lots of choice and very attentive staff. Will definitely return.

Evening Enjoyment, Later Disappointment after Stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton Bristol City Centre on November 2, 2025. The room was truly impressive—immaculately clean, well-equipped, and provided one of my best nights of sleep in recent memory. Upon arrival, the check-in experience was enhanced by Melinda, who was exceptionally professional, friendly, and thoughtful. She offered a signature freshly baked cookie, which made my arrival feel special and set a positive tone for the stay. Melinda was very helpful in answering my questions and confirmed that the bar would remain open until midnight, which was useful information as I planned my evening. I spent some time in the bar area around 9–10 pm, enjoying a relaxing beer in the comfortable lounge. The atmosphere at this time was friendly and engaging, complementing the earlier positive experiences with the reception staff. However, later in the evening at approximately 11:20 pm, I returned to the bar for another drink but found it already closed for the night—despite the earlier assurance that it would be open until midnight. Seeking clarification, I approached the reception desk where two gentlemen, whom I presumed to be in managerial roles, informed me that the bar staff had left early due to a lack of customers, acknowledging that the official closing time was indeed midnight. While I understand that staff may leave early if business is slow, my disappointment stemmed from the response and handling by the staff present at the desk. Instead of simply providing an explanation, I feel a better guest service would have been for one of the staff or managers to step in and offer to serve me rather than just point out why the bar could not offer service. This lack of practical help at the time diminished the overall experience—especially given the otherwise professional standard set earlier by Melinda. Despite the excellent room and the initial warm welcome, the disappointment with evening staff’s reluctance to help soured my impression. The level of customer service from those two staff members was not in keeping with the best traditions of Hilton’s hospitality, and as a result, I would not choose to return to this property—even if complimentary.

Amazing experience staying here! Staff very friendly and helpful and also non-judgemental (as we turned up head to toe in Halloween gear aha) and no one batted an eyelid. Our room was clean and well laid out with comfy pillows and good room temperature settings. The hotel feels very fancy and well put together and for the price is amazing value for money.

Located a few minutes from Bristol Temple Meads. Limited onsite parking, accessible entrance with lifts. FREE warm gooey cookie on check-in. Room was clean with typical features of any hotel. Dinner and breakfast were sublime, prepared perfectly. There are very few local amenities with walking distance. Overall, pleasant stay with good tasting food.

Service was fantastic, everyone was helpful and just generally nice & friendly which is hard to come by these days! Room was spotless, fresh and ready when I arrived. Ease of check-in with their new system! All in all, would definitely stay again! Good job guys. :)

The position of this hotel is perfect for who stays here for business since it is just a few meters away from the Bristol Flyer bus who connects the city with the airport. It is also very close to Temple Meads train station. I didn't have the chance to visit the city centre but I guess the position of the hotel is convenient for that too. Rooms are OK, not huge and a little worn-out but still fine. The breakfast area is spectacular although there are not so many choices for the food. Staff is always nice, helpful and smiling

This hotel is very Calm, normal situation, 10 min walking to river. Good detail welcome, a cookie warm. We have one problem with booking and cannot take breakfast and by error hotel charged me 7 days instead 1, but contact with them and refund me without problem.

Our double room was disappointing, there wasn't much space around the bed. There was no fridge. The coffee and tea facility was good. The shower was a good size, however, felt that a shower mat inside the shower was need, as a little slippy under foot. Good job there was a hand rail in the shower. We enjoyed the breakfast, lots of choice, very yummy. I do think that the plates could have been cleared a little faster. The staff passed them at least 3 times before clearing. We were very disappointed that we had to pay an additional £15 for parking. There was no mention of an additional parking charge when I booked.
