The worst accommodation I've stayed in for a long time sadly. It could be so much better. Incredibly dated and poor room layout with hardly any space to get around one side of the bed. Cold draught from the window, patches of bare filler from poor repairs, lumpy pillows. Continental breakfast of cheap packaged goods and long-life yogurts. I could go on. :(

Don’t be fooled by the outside! Pros: • Handy location near the motorway and bus routes into Bristol. • Continental breakfast was a decent start to the day. • Our “family room” had a separate double and single, which was a nice bit of privacy. Cons: • The place is crying out for an overhaul — décor stuck in another era, toilet seat that slid around like it was on strike. • Cobwebs, damp smell, and not a cleaner in sight during our 3-night stay (towels, mugs, beds all untouched). • Shortage of basics: not enough towels, no spare bedding, and just one pillow on one bed — a lonely experience in every sense. Summary: Convenient, but if you like working toilets, fresh towels, and more than one pillow, you might want to look elsewhere. Fine for one night maybe.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had an overall pleasant experience. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff were welcoming and professional. The room was clean, well-furnished, and offered a comfortable bed along with all the expected amenities like a mini-fridge, kettle, and complimentary toiletries. One of the highlights was the breakfast — a good variety of options and everything was fresh. The hotel’s location was also convenient, with easy access to public transport and nearby attractions. Overall, I’d recommend this hotel for both leisure and business travelers. It strikes a good balance between comfort, convenience, and value for money.

Third time I’ve stayed here, mostly as the manager / front of house and breakfast staff are so friendly and helpful. They seem to work really hard and can’t do enough to help. I’ve had really spacious rooms each time (all different ones) and this time I had a lovely big bath, with plenty of hot water. My dog is always welcome too. Signs are clear about not using the paddock for walking guests’ dogs but there are stunning footpaths and a lovely pub for dinner nearby. It’s well off the main road so no traffic noise, but it is extremely busy so if you’re also walking in the area, you’re likely to need to walk along a bit of it and have to cross it to keep on a pavement. It’s an old building so you won’t get the soundproofing you’d expect in a new one, so take ear plugs. I’ve never had a problem finding a space in the car park which is right in front of the entrance. Breakfast is fantastic. I’ll be back.

Fantastic place to stay with very comfortable rooms. A little far from Bristol city centre for my liking but would definitely stay again.

Excellent B&B. We stayed in Room 6: It was spacious, nicely decorated in neutral tones and wooden furniture and the beds were comfortable. Both the ensuite and the room were lovely and clean. The breakfast area was spotless and the continental breakfast had a selection of cereals, toast Magdalene’s or pain au chocolate. The cooked breakfast was reasonably priced, freshly cooked to order and very good. The staff were polite, professional and very helpful. Car parking is outside the residence and free of charge. Well situated in a reasonably quiet area which was conveniently placed and within a short drive from most things. Would highly recommend and would stay again!

Lovely place - a good deal for the price! The building and location is lovely. We stayed for a night in a standard double room (room 9) and the room was pleasant & clean, and the shower and water pressure was great. Super friendly staff and just feels like a down-to-earth hotel :-)

Friendly staff and lovely breakfast, great choice of cereals, It did say on website there would be a choice of fruit juices but was told there was only orange. We were put on the first floor with a toddler who didn't sleep all night due to the Room being very Hot, (cant help the weather outside we know) The table fan wasn't even getting him/us. Very restless night. Would of preferred to be groundfloor with him. The yard where to sit needs abit of work as does the inside as its quite dated. But overall an ok b&b

I really cannot understand some of the negative reviews on here, what do people expect from a business charging £100 for a family en suite room and a very nice cooked breakfast a stones throw from a major city??? We were warmly welcomed by the lady owner who couldn't have been nicer, the room was perfectly adequate with everything you would need and was very clean with a most comfortable bed. The cooked breakfast was great and again lovely helpful staff. If you want perfection go and spend 400/500 a night and complain all you want but this is unfair criticism on an honest establishment. I would gladly stay there again if in the area.
