Not sure what all the sub 5 star reviews are about but we were really impressed by the entire experience at the Limpley hotel. The room was lovely, cosy and clean. stunning views in a great location. The staff are all lovely especially our server Alex during our evening meal. He was efficient, friendly and a credit to this buisness. The food was great and the portions were big considering the affordable prices. We will be returning yearly from now on. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The staff was friendly and welcoming, making the check-in process seamless. Our room was well-kept and comfortable, offering great views. The bathroom had all the necessary amenities, and clean towels were provided too. Overall, my experience at the hotel was positive, and I would definitely return if I ever visit Bath again! :3

I really enjoyed my stay here. The hotel has a beautiful view, surrounded by greenery, and the atmosphere of the old building is unique and charming. The staff were very kind and even allowed me to check in early, which I really appreciated. The only small issue I had was finding a spider in the bathroom, but overall I would still recommend this hotel for its lovely setting and great service.

We recently stayed at your hotel for one night and had a wonderful experience. The next morning, we happily set off on our journey, but a few hours later we received a phone call from the hotel informing us that our jewellery box had been left in the room. Inside were my gold and pearl necklaces and other valuable items.
Thanks to the honesty and professionalism of your staff β especially the housekeeping team β everything was kept safe and returned to us exactly as we left it, even after a month. We are truly impressed by the integrity, kindness, and excellent service we experienced.
Please extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone involved, and a special appreciation to the room cleaner who found and secured our belongings. This level of honesty and care is rare, and it will always be remembered.

Beautiful building in a very rural area. We had a top floor room, it had a lovely view of the river and trains gliding through the countryside. It was a very warm room, we stayed into the new year and slept with the window open. The breakfast was fantastic... You could pick as much as you wanted and it was beautifully laid out... The staff were extremely friendly, even down to the cleaner who seemed a very happy chap. We loved it here and will definitely be staying again.

Got lucky to stay here during the time when carolling choir was rehearsing for Christmas performance. Fireplace was lit in the bar area, the staff was incredibly kind, helpful and friendly! Recommend for a comfortable stay and a cozy evening by a fireplace.
The view from the car park is absolutely stunning on a clear morning. Iβve also noticed a couple of wooden tables you could use for a picnic with a great view!

This is a nice hotel in a very beautiful countryside setting. The room was comfortable and clean and the staff friendly and helpful. We didnβt have the breakfast or dinner so canβt comment on that but we had coffees in the morning and worked from one of the reception rooms for a few hours which the staff were happy to accommodate. The decor could do with a refresh but overall it is good value!

Our wedding at the Limpley Stoke Hotel on Saturday 1st October '22 was fabulous! Karen, the events manager, was on hand throughout the entire process, answering any questions we had and helping to ensure our day ran smoothly. The duty manager, George, was excellent and deserves recognition for his work ethic and social skills. He again was on hand to ensure the day ran smoothly, but regularly checked all was OK and nothing seemed too much for him - for example, he offered to heat my nephews food (a one year old), going above and beyond.
Hugo, one of the bartenders, also deserves a shout out and recognition! We had multiple guests compliment him - excellent service!
All staff on hand to help with the day were lovely, including those available during breakfast the following morning.
The only downsides we had were:
the DJ assigned to us - poor/lack of communication and also informed us that we could request as many songs as we liked for the evening - he did not play many of these at all, yet continued to ask guests for song requests throughout the night, ignoring the bride and groom.
The fact we did not have access to the bridal suite all day/at an earlier time - so had to book a separate, smaller room, the night before for the bridal party to get ready in, with belongings moved across later - we were unable to gain access to the bridal suite until a later time
Food was excellent! And the rooms as expected with comfy beds and super views!

I just had a short stay here and I really enjoyed it. One of the best things about this hotel was the communal spaces. I was sharing a room with my best friend but I haven't been sleeping well and have been up early hours. I was able to keep a bag by my bed of things I wanted, then pop down to one of the comfortable, clean, spacious communal areas. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The hotel was clean and comfortable. It is close to Bath park and ride. I am planning on staying again.
