Lovely and clean rooms, close to Bristol airport… the only reason I haven’t given it 5 stars is because the walls were paper thin, I could hear everything from the room next door so didn’t get to sleep until the early hours.

I chose The Cottage as I had an early morning flight from Bristol airport. The airport terminal is a 15 minute walk away although you can book a lift if required for a small fee. Another advantage was the lower parking cost with Karen & Russell for my stay. Again, your car can be delivered you if required....I chose to collect it from The Cottage. The room I had was comfortable & clean. A kette together with tea, coffee & biscuits were supplied as was a tv. I would use The Cottage again if I had a flight from Bristol airport.

Bit of a strange setup, but it seems to work. Young man doing the parking was very helpful and a really nice man. The room was okay, but there seemed to be a constant stream of traffic through the night. Which was strange on what was not a main road. Must have been the airport.

What a quaint, cute bed and breakfast type hotel. Homely room with everything you need. 5 stars for the room and cuteness, but overall 2 stars for the noise. The road that the hotel is on - Downside Road, - looks like a small, two lane country road.... no sidewalks (pavements)... but the traffic.... I counted 5 to 10 cars PER MINUTE, all day and night. I got maybe an hour or so of sleep. The road-facing rooms (I was in one of them) need the windows to have triple glazing sound proofing. The walls are solid plaster which blocks sound, but the windows need to be sound proofed. I've lived in a house close to a freeway and mounting an external sliding glass triple-glaze frame in front of the main window case will make a huge difference. Without that, I probably won't be staying there again - too noisy. It's a pity since the hotel is 'cute'. Also, I wouldn't walk that road to the airport at 6 in the morning while it's still dark - not without sidewalks and all that traffic.

We arrived late in the evening. The door was left open for us to gain entry and the key to the room left on the table. No-one greeted us or even left a message in advance giving me instructions of this type of arrival. The room on entering was extremely hot as the radiator was turned all the way up. The toilet seat did not fit the toilet. The shower seals were disgusting it made me urge. No milk in the room to have a cup of tea. The pipes for the heating kept us awake throughout the night, the noise was ridiculous. You pay to sleep yet sleep was unachievable. Breakfast was continental and consisted of cereal and a loaf of bread that other guests had touched beforehand. No juice, tea or coffee facilities unless you went back to your room to boil the kettle and carried your drink down the narrow stairs. I picked up the kettle that already had water in it. I emptied the water to fill it in the sink, the sink was too small for this to happen. Thankfully I didn't persevere as the kettle was filled with limescale. The 'hosts' walked passed us in the morning and didn't even acknowledge us. The only thing good about this place is the location. I would not recommend staying here nor would I ever return.

Great location, only 15 minute walk from the airport which was ideal for our early flight. Very accommodating owner who let us check in early. The room was incredibly clean and the bed was super comfy.

Karen was very friendly and efficient, however we had the family room which was small and somewhat cramped, there was also some noise from down below which was a shame as we were up at 3.30am for a flight. Car pick up was smooth, fast and efficient.

Karen was a great host, very accommodating to our needs. The rooms are very comfy, well decorated and clean. We had the double room with shared shower but this worked well for us, we were able to leave the car there for the week which was much cheaper than at the airport. Breakfast was help yourself cereal and toast so perfect to be able to have something to eat before our early flight. The rooms can be quite light/noisy but that is as expected when you are close to the airport - black out curtains perhaps? Thank you Karen! We walked to the airport in the morning, it takes 10 mins or is around Β£10 in an uber.
