We visited last Saturday 6/12/25 for a family celebration. The food was very good, we had a full range of tapas and it was served promptly as we had pre ordered as a booking of 8. However when we made the booking we were not advised we would be sat outside in a covered area with heaters, which lacked atmosphere and was cold. The restaurant area was lively, warm and vibrant when we left , would advise anyone to check where you will be seated before you book. Have sent an email voicing our disappointment but no reply.

Lovely dinner for 3. Tapas were all great, the paella was delicious. Nice selection of pints and good wines. Good value, good food and a friendly welcome.

Visited yesterday and had the Tapas Tasting menu. Greeted warmly by the new owner, and made to feel very welcome indeed. Excellent food and service and we experienced a real taste of Spain with the most delicious tapas dishes. Spanish music playing, lovely ambience, chilled and relaxing. Fab cocktails, too! A definite winner and can’t wait to return, thank you; we are lucky to have this amazing tapas restaurant /bar (and secret garden!) in Portishead.

Had a company meal there and staff stayed over (prior to lockdown). Staff very impressed and relaxed. Thoroughly recommend.

I ate here 2 years ago and it was good, possibly the trendiest place in Portishead. However last night the food was DREADFUL. A stark and glaring contrast. It's not just the overpriced food, it's the portion size and quality of the ingredients. Slicing ONE sausage diagonally in 4 and putting it on top of some passata with herbs and some chick peas in a terracotta ash tray does not constitute a Cassoulet. Cassoulet is in fact a french dish from Toulouse and it is not like that. The food was tasteless, very poorly presented and a huge disappointment. There is nothing spanish about it. The Tapas menu is very limited and very bland which again does not mirror Spanish food. The owners have fallen into the trap of making one eatery a success, expanding by purchasing other restaurants and completely forgetting about the one that made them the money in the first place. Complacency is the ruin of any hospitality set up. I wouldn't eat there again. Cool place for a beer still I guess...

Went for drinks on the garden. Very interesting multi levelled garden area..under cover at the back and quite warm..in August. Be aware..no CARDS taken in the garden..which is a pain..but there is a flashpoint just down the road to the right ad you leave Venga. Drinks were good. Bar staff friendly. Small area inside with limited seating and stools at the bar.

Nice place for having good a dinner. Dishes a bit small, be sure to ask for more than 2 for each. Wonderful garden.

The best restraunt in the village and one of my most favorite places to eat in the world! Authentic Tapas with an excellent wine list. Pricey but worth every penny.
