Bad experience here. I have been waiting for the return of deposit since 08/09/2024 (check-out date), at time of writing the date is 04/12/2024. Despite asking for updates and calling, I have not received any response from this agency for 2+ weeks. IMO, there are many other options in Bristol worth trying before Chase Buchanan Downend.
I highly recommend Chase Buchanan, they helped us throughout the whole process of applying for a house, securing the tenancy, and moving in. We are especially grateful to Kayleigh and Rebecca, who were our main contacts at the agency. They were very friendly, helpful, and patient. They made the whole experience smooth and stress-free.
I recently finished a 5-year tenancy with Intire Lettings and would highly recommend them to any future renters. Intire were fair and transparent with me from day one, responding quickly to any queries/issues and always being friendly during inspections. I have rented with a number of lettings agents over the years and Intire are the best I've worked with.
Having been a tenant for a number of years now at all kinds of properties around the UK, I can comfortably remark that the experience I've had with Intire has been the most seamless and satisfying of any renting agency to date; the staff have been both extremely helpful and accommodating whether by phone, email or in-person and have endeavored to make the move as smooth as possible, working to tight deadlines. The inventory and accompanying documents have been professionally presented and are remarkably comprehensive - far beyond what I would typically expect from an agency due to previous encounters - reducing our workload regarding administration during our first weeks at the property. I would absolutely recommend Intire and would leap at the chance to rent through them again.
We've been happy to deal with Intire. The communication during the whole application process was quick, friendly and professional. The agents we've met were very nice, well informed and willing to help. Frankie has been very clear about every details of the house during the viewing and the appointment to get the keys. We liked that our full details were required from the beginning (and not only the holding deposit like in most agencies) it made us feel like Intire cared to make sure that we were in capacity to get the house before starting the process.
We have been renting our house for over 4 years with Intire. We were to live out of the UK, for a few years and needed an agent to manage our property. We contacted Intire and they came around the next morning, they found 2 tenants within 18 hours and we were signed up with the chosen tenant within 4 days. Our tenants have been very good, and when those little things go wrong as they do with every house they find one of their contractors to come and fix it very quickly and in my view at a very good price. Every time I need to chat to them, which to be honest is not often at all they are extremely helpful. They regularly inspect the property which give you peace of mind that all is ok and send some pictures if minor things need attention. They manage all the gas safety checks etc and their portal to their website shows you all the income etc which is great for when you need to do your dreaded tax return! All in all we have had a seamless 4 years renting with Intire and I now have one of my friends using them as well and getting the same excellent service. Highly recommended if you want a fully managed service like us.
As a new landlord, I found the company impressive right from the start and have stayed extremely satisfied with their high standards. They quickly found us suitable tenants, so that we have not had to use their “re-let for free” service, but have used the free gas safety check annually which is a bonus, as was the no management fee for the first three months. Every time there has been a job which needs doing (often happens with an older property) Intire have responded quickly and efficiently, organising quotes and using their considerable local expertise to effect a repair. They communicate well, their admin skills are excellent and reliable and they work together as a team. I cannot recommend them highly enough – it would be difficult to find a more pleasant and efficient letting agent. Jo Rayner
